I shopped for the watch I wanted online and at a Cartier boutique in Dallas, TX and thought I would check ebay before jumping in to make the big retail purchase, one that was thoroughly and carefully considered because it was a long-awaited purchase that was a budget buster. To my surprise and with a tinge of suspicion, I discovered that the same watch I had shopped so carefully for (for an extended period of time, over which the price of the watch had gone up considerably) and which I had decided to buy from Cartier was being offered by WatchuWant on ebay with a "no reserve" bid. Being a bit old-fashioned (and an extremely tactile person) I had never made a major purchase online before. I actually never thought I would. I feel a strong need to see the object before me, hold it, touch it, carefully inspect it and assess its condition. So, taking a leap of faith based on excellent high resolution photographs of the watch being offered, and with the assurance of a liberal return policy from the seller (as well as a satisfaction guarantee from ebay) I bid on the watch and was fortunate to purchase the very watch I wanted from WatchuWant for less than 50% of the retail price at Cartier! The watch arrived exactly as the seller promised, overnight FedEx delivery to my door. I was cautiously optimistic as I opened the carefully wrapped package, and to my extreme relief and delight discovered that I was the lucky and proud new owner of a good-as-new Cartier watch that I had wanted so badly and had long-postponed purchasing due to the expense. Being an antiques dealer for many years, and knowing that meticulously crafted items of quality are not diminished by use or age if properly cared for (and in fact they are often enhanced) I immediately recognized that I had made the right decision about purchasing a classic timepiece from this highly rated ebay seller! The watch I purchased is perfect in every way! It is in exactly the same condition as a new watch that had never been worn. Although it was previously owned, the watch shows no signs of wear and I saved a bundle of $$$. It arrived in its original Cartier box, complete with original documentation, CD, Certificate of Authenticity, Original Owners Booklet...EVERYTHING that was original to the watch! I have enjoyed my purchase even more than I had anticipated...I feel like a million bucks every time I put the watch on my wrist. I would recommend to anyone thinking of making an investment in a classic timepiece that you look closely at the watches offered by this dealer before making a purchase anywhere else. You may think after reading this that I'm easy to please...Well, in one sense that is true: I am always very satisfied with THE BEST!
