Misleading Order Handling and Poor Resolution
I had a very disappointing experience with Wamatek regarding an order for an RTX 5070 Ti. I placed the order and was informed it was on backorder with an expected restock date of February 18. I agreed to wait. After following up, I was told orders would be fulfilled from oldest to newest, and on March 2—after the restock date had already passed—I was explicitly told that I was “first on the list.” Based on that information, I continued to wait and did not purchase the product elsewhere. I relied on this for over three weeks, and at no point was I informed that my order was at risk of cancellation. My order was then canceled without warning. By that time, the GPU had become significantly more expensive and difficult to obtain, meaning I could not replace it at the price I originally secured. This left me at a clear disadvantage due to the information provided by the company. After contacting support, I was told to browse for alternatives, but there were no comparable RTX 5070 Ti models actually available—only backordered listings or entirely different products. While the company did offer store credit- a whole $10 for 3 months of back and forth emails (manager and supervisor said that was the best they could do), they refused to provide a reasonable amount that reflects the price difference or the situation. Overall, the issue is not just the cancellation, it is the way expectations were set and then not honored, resulting in a loss of a valuable purchase opportunity. I would recommend caution when ordering items, especially for high-demand products.

We are incredibly sorry for your poor experience with our company. We strive to deliver the best customer service and clearly we did not hold up our end of the bargain. We appreciate your business and wish you well.
