The search system is like no other; it lets you choose from preferences you don't find on other pages like "lots of sunlight" and "hardwood floors", what kind of a neighborhood you want to live in, and it even tells you how far the nearest grocery store is! The user reviews give you a good idea of what it's like to live in a certain apartment, especially what the management is like and if there are any issues with the property. This was my first time looking for housing in the US, so I was worried about a lot of things, but Ashrit was very kind and helped me in every way imaginable, despite a 13-hour time difference! He has a lot of knowledge about each apartment, and with his help I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. Since I live in Tokyo I had to make my choice remotely, but Ashrit and his team even went and took pictures of the units I was interested in, which was really nice!! Not only did they make this whole house-searching process painless, I was able to actually enjoy it and look forward to moving into my new home.

Our overall experience on VeryApt is so far very nice. Andris (, the VeryApt representative who showed us the apartment on 2121 Market) is very communicative, responsive and easy to talk with. And he arranged a tour together with the housing agent the same day we requested for an appointment. My boyfriend and I both like the place a lot and immediately took it off the market. Not being pushy or exaggerating at all, he saved us much trouble from further house hunting. Thanks to Andris' kind help and accurate information, we got the apartment that we think we are gonna like to stay for the next year.

Working with VeryApt, and Scott in particular, made our Philadelphia apartment search much easier than expected -- even enjoyable. Neither my husband nor I had ever lived in Philly and we didn't know the neighborhoods well. With commutes in opposite directions and not many preferences other than having a dishwasher, we were overwhelmed with all the possible apartments and we didn't have a good idea of what we could expect in our price range. VeryApt's website was comprehensive and allowed us to change our preferences to see difference price/location/amenities combinations. It was a great way to get a handle on the rental market. (One word of warning- not all the photos are accurate since they are stock photos, not actual photos of available units. But with that in mind, we could ask for actual photos or for a more detailed description of each unit). We were moving from about three hours away on the East Coast, so we were able to come down a few times to look at apartments, but the first time we did without VeryApt's guidance we didn't get very far. Working with Scott, we saw tons of places we liked and finally we were choosing between three apartments we would have been equally happy to live in. Scott was thorough, friendly, and professional, and he helped us throughout the application process and even after, really going above and beyond to make sure our apartment search was successful. Because the company is small, everyone who works there seems highly informed about the Philly market and what renters can expect. We hope to stay in Philly for many years and we would never consider doing an apartment search without using VeryApt. Highly recommend.
