THIS MAY WELL BE A SCAM SITE
THIS MAY WELL BE A SCAM SITE, ALONG WITH 'VERDANT RESCUE' AND 'VERDANT CHARITY'. THEY MAY BE USING SOCIAL MEDIA TO POST STOLEN VIDEOS TO GET PEOPLE TO DONATE. FOR EXAMPLE A CHANNEL CALLED 'Andrew Kevin'@Fight_with_kevin, THERE IS A LINK IN THIS CHANNEL'S BIO TO APPARENTLY DONATE TO KEVIN'S FUNDRAISER ON 'VERDANT RESCUE.ORG' TO SUPPORT HIS CANCER JOURNEY, EXCEPT VERDANT CLAIMS TO BE ABOUT ANIMAL WELFARE AND RESCUE NOT CANCER. ALSO THERE HAVE BEEN COMPANIES WHO HAVE LOOKED INTO IT, IT MAY BE A KENYA BASED SCAM NETWORK, AND ACTUALLY SCAMS BOTH FUNDRAISERS AND DONATORS. ANYWAY DO NOT DONATE. DO REPORT. DO REPORT ANY ACCOUTS WITH LINKS TO ANYTHING TO DO WITH 'VERDANT'.
Response from Eastern Charity FoundationJul 6, 2026
Hi George,Thank you for sharing this crucial feedback, but it appears your review may be misdirected. The Verdant Charity Foundation has absolutely no connection, affiliation, or relationship with 'Verdant Rescue' or 'verdantrescue.org'.We completely agree with your assessment that the situation you described bears all the hallmarks of a malicious fundraising scam. Rogue entities frequently hijack unrelated names and post stolen, emotionally manipulative videos on social media—such as the cancer fundraiser channel you mentioned—to exploit donors. It is highly alarming that a site claiming to focus on animal welfare is hosting a cancer fundraiser link; this contradiction is a major red flag.Because we operate with strict transparency and are a completely separate entity, we strongly urge you to move or repost this warning directly onto a review page for 'Verdant Rescue' or report the fraudulent social media accounts to help protect others. Thank you for staying vigilant against these bad actors.
