At frist it was great talking with jake and charlie, the price was great, They wanted a resabnalbe deposit, i asked multiple times if it was refundable, and Charlie told me yes every time. Less than a week later we found out we needed not to move and they will not give us the deposit back, Said I had 72 hours and I missed the window, (even when I was TOLD YES ON A REFUND they said they would see what they can do and when I spoke with kat she was so rude and said well if we felt sorry for everyone we would be out of business I will just out this on hold. I am devasted, its so much money that we did not have and i have a family to care for. They should be ashamed of themselves, Instead of loyalty they get bad reviews.

We are so sorry that you had a negative experience with our company.
The paperwork very clearly stated our cancellation policy in more than one place. Not only is it in the body of the paperwork but there is an extra step where you have to actually check and agree to the cancellation policy before signature. I apologize if it wasn't made apparent enough in the paperwork. We will speak to our IT team about adding another step and check box to make sure customers read it in the future! We really appreciate your feedback!

Scam
I’m shocked you guys still operate the business after all the scam you’ve done and all the bad reviews you’ve been receiving… Hopefully NOT FOR LONG! Scamming people like that! Shame on you and your company!
Replying to Venture Van Lines
Actually this was my second review not multiple …So please don’t makeup any lies… First one was made on the day of the move that DIDINT happen… on TOP OF IT YOU STOLE 801$ from me. Which I never got it back. You offered me 200$ when I cancelled within 24h. (And I do have a proof)..tell you the truth I am not really shocked after reading all the negative reviews people made with similar accusation’s towards your company that you steal the deposits and that’s how you make your money! The second review I wrote today saying I am very shocked you still run your business after all the Scams you’ve done!! But from reading all the reviews hopefully it’s not gonna be too long till you get permanently close.
Once again replaying to Venture Van Lines
First of all, you prepared the contract using someone else’s name to authorize the Payment from my Bank account. Right the way I contact your company to cancel the contract and it was within 24h not surprising no one was answering the phone or responding to the emails that were sent! You did took the deposit from my account knowing I wanted a refund! (That’s what we call stealing!) And what are you talking about saying “service was done”Nothing was done! There was no move I had to put my stuff in the storage. I filed a POLICE REPORT and I will be presenting all the documents in court! And going back to a proof I do have a recorded conversation of your representative saying you will not charge me anything till the goods are picked up… maybe you should check with your employee
You actually right in this one matter it’s no point of going back and forth. But looking at your reviews how many people you scammed it shows you are the liars and scammers. but if I can make a difference by saving someone from choosing your company being scammed it’s all worth it! and don’t worry be patient you will see me in court.

This is a duplicate review. This client is leaving multiple reviews due to the fact that they were forced tom abide by the estimate and agreement that they signed. These clients were offered a partial refund out of the goodness of our hearts, although our cancellation policy is clearly spelled out in the signed documentation, but the partial refund was refused and they continue to slander us on every single website that allows them to.
replying to reviewers reply
Multiple means more than one and your sister has left several across several websites, as well as you leaving two on this website. The money was not stolen, you signed and paid the deposit for services that you received (services to broker a move). Our services and policies are laid our very clearly in paperwork that you signed and failed to follow. You never properly cancelled within 24 hours (the cancellation policy is written right at the top of the estimate), and you were offered $200 on July 25th at 4:23 pm via email as a courtesy, to which you refused completely. This offer was well past your pick up date of 7-17-23 and FAR past your reservation date of 7-7-23. im not sure what proof you have that shows that the $200 was offered on 7-8 (24 hours past your reservation date) but i truly believe that proof does not exist at all.
AGAIN.......
The recording you have DOES NOT say that you weren't being charged for the deposit, it said that nothing ELSE would be charged until the pickup. Maybe you should check the recording. The payment was processed the day you signed the contract. Just because it didn't show on your end that the payment was processed doesn't mean that it wasn't. There was no way we could have stopped it even if you HAD demanded a refund, but at the time you agreed to go forward with the move. That is the way banks work ma'am, when you put in an ACH payment, it takes a few days to reflect the withdrawal from your account. Common sense tells you that. You did not properly cancel the contract per the cancellation policy and when you spoke to somebody (which you did, so saying nobody answers the phone is also a lie) you AGREED TO GO FORWARD WITH THE MOVE. We never would have had the carrier drive there if you cancelled the correct way and refused. And yes, the services that VENTURE offers were completed in full. Maybe you should have read your contract, and you would know that but instead you are just going on and on with blatant lies and twisted truths on several different websites and it is becoming exhausting. You keep saying that you have filed police reports and contacted lawyers, yet we have not heard of any of this from your lawyer or ours and at this point we would prefer to just do this through the legal system because we know we are in the right here and if we WERENT we would have already refunded your money. We are done going back and forth and we realize there is nothing we can do about you continuing to lie EVERYWHERE about our company. Once we go to court, we will be motioning for you to remove all of these reviews upon winning the case. We have repeatedly proved mostly everything that you have accused us of to be completely false. Other potential clients can see that. We will discuss anything further in court.

WARNING
WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I got scammed out of almost $2,000. They are extremely unprofessional and take all the money they can get from you as quickly as possible. They stated they are veteran owned, military loved, and promises the ability to get onto a military installation. They lied. Two of my four movers did not have valid ID. One of the only two movers that could get on base was extremely overweight and unable to move a single piece of furniture. Instead, he sat on MY king size mattress while the ONE worker who had ID moved pieces around. In contract, they state they will notify you when movers will show up. They did not. Showed up unannounced and unprepared. Then tripled the price before leaving with my property and dropped our contract because we wouldn’t give them $10,000 up front. Absolute robbery. I can only hope that poor businesses and companies, like this one, that take every last penny you have, get what they have coming for them. I have four small children and nothing left now. I really truly hope this saves someone from the hell we have had to endure with this company.

Heidi,
I would like to start by apologizing for your situation entirely. Here at Venture we consider our clients part of the family and to see somebody suffer so hurts us as well.
It seems as though you were indeed refunded the money from your bank account. We no longer possess any of your funds at this time.

Scam
This company is a scam. Please stay away from them. Worst experience of my life!
Venture van line asked through trustpilot to add my review and explain my experience so this review is not taking down… venture van lines already once flagged my review few weeks ago…
Venture van lines used my name on the contract ( without my consent) instead of the person who was actually moving from NYC to west palm beach. My name was used on the contract that stated I authorized to deduct monies from not my bank account. I never gave venture Van van lines authorization to use my name anywhere. How is that allowed?
Further more the estimate that they gave was way off. So, yes I think this company is absolute scam. Our attorney has taking over this case and I’ve already asked venture van lines not to contact me ever again. Thank you.

This review and the one below from "ksymena" are the same person or the other person on the file so i will reiterate:
You did not follow the cancellation policy that is clearly stated in the moving estimate as well. I will copy and paste section 8 of the moving estimate below that states in order to cancel you must email [email protected]. You did not do that, which is the reason that the move was not cancelled. The policy is there in order for the company to keep track of everything. We received a call from you that day and spoke to you for less than 10 minutes, at which time you agreed to move forward with the relocation. We never at any time told you that you HAD to move forward with the relocation, we just simply stated the cancellation policy and allowed you to make an informed decision based off the signed agreement.
As a company we stand by our cancellation policy. As the broker our services were rendered in full and you refused service on site which was at no fault of ours. You purposely withheld information from us in order to get a lower price, and when you couldn't achieve that, you resorted to threats to try and get what you wanted.
We have offered this many times in writing and you have ignored every time, but we will offer this again. If you would like to continue forward with the move, we can still utilize your deposit for the service as we indeed want to assist you in completing your move. If you refuse this offer, unfortunately we must stick by our cancellation policy and deem your deposit nonrefundable.
We agree that your sister is the one who signed all the documents for the move. We have explained to you many times that the document for the ACH transaction automatically populates the name on the written portion of the transaction agreement. What was meant by "power of attorney" was the fact that she read the document, saw that your name was on the document and signed and agreed to it anyways. She saw on the document that you were the one setting up the move and she agreed that was alright and signed the document. Nobody said you had a LEGAL POWER OF ATTORNEY DOCUMENT over all of your sisters decisions. We apologize for the misuse of verbiage.
We do indeed follow every single one of our policies and procedures and have done so with your file. Venture Van Lines has been lied to and slandered by you all over the internet. We have done every single thing according to the contract and are preparing cease and desist with our legal team.
We are not deleting anything, but we will continue to defend ourselves. There is a difference between power of attorney the PHRASE and Power of Attorney the legal document. As we previously stated the verbiage we used may have been confusing for laymen, therefore we will rephrase once again to make things simpler for you. Your sister signed the document KNOWING that your name was on there as you were the one who physically called and set up the move. You were acting on her behalf, and she signed and legally agreed to it via the electronic signature system with her IP address attached. The bottom line is, the document is legal. The price increase was completely above board and accurate. you were offered over $500 in discounts on site after needing additional space. You went from 21 items to 35 items. We have clear proof that you ADDED items which is why the price increased. Sending an email to the sales representative does not constitute as following the cancellation policy as the cancellation policy CLEARLY states that in order to cancel the move you need to email [email protected], which you did not do. This has been continuously explained to you over many different sources and by many different people.
We do not have a Sharon that works in this office. It was Katherine who left the message. She never said that the account wouldn't be charged for the deposit as that was already charged. She was speaking on the pick up and delivery payments.

Either scammers or incompetents
The first thing to realize about this company is that they are brokers who will be outsourcing your move. You will have no say in who actually does your move and, if things go sideways as they did for us, Venture Van Lines will NOT back you against their subcontractors.
My second tip is not to believe any of the four-star reviews you might see on this company. Before contracting with these people please go to the BBB website where you will find 70+ complaints. We wish we had done this before contracting with them!
We had what should have been a small, easy job. We had a few pieces of furniture and some boxes, which we had already packed. We called Jack at Venture and told him what we wanted to move and, using his modeling tools, he estimated our necessary cubic feet needed as 435. He didn’t ask for photos or measurements.
Our assigned movers arrived as promised on July 4th and when we showed them the items to be moved, they said that it was ‘too much’ and ‘more than 400 cubic feet.’ They wanted more money - over twice what we had originally been charged. We called the Customer Service Manager at Venture, Kate Stephens, who was distinctly unhelpful, telling us that our sofa and loveseat were ‘massive’ according to the movers. The only option she offered us was to cancel the move and forfeit our deposit which was 1/3 of the total cost. Finally, my husband went out to the truck and discovered that the space allotted for our move was just the back 3.5 feet of the truck. Now, we aren’t professional movers or mathematicians, but we do know that 7x7x3.5 does not equal 435 cubic feet. The problem was not our supposedly ‘massive’ furniture, but that the movers had showed up with less than half the cubic feet we had contracted for. Even if we had agreed to pay the movers the extra money that they demanded, they could not have fit our stuff in the space available; not even if our ‘massive’ furniture was the size of dollhouse furniture.
In the end, we had the movers take what they could fit into the truck and we rented a UHaul trailer and moved the rest ourselves. The movers would not release our goods until we paid the full amount we had contracted for, based on 435 cubic feet instead of the 175 cubic feet they actually moved. Kate at Venture, despite supposedly being our broker, was consistently uncooperative throughout this process. She was extremely difficult to reach on the phone and when we did manage to reach her was clearly 100% on the side of the movers, almost making us out to be the villains, even when we provided photos and dimensions. She did promise to speak to the owner about getting us a partial refund, but that promise evaporated once our move was completed. When we spoke with her last, she suddenly doesn’t know the owner at all and doesn’t know how to contact him. All of our attempts to get ahold of the owner or CEO prior to leaving this review have been unsuccessful.
So was this a bait-and-switch scam or simple incompetence? Either way, it added up to the very worst customer service we have ever endured.
I’ll add a specific warning to veterans - this company represented themselves to us as a veteran-owned company. This is either stolen valor, or the veteran in question is ready and willing to screw over other veterans on the Fourth of July!

I want to start out by apologizing for the trouble with your relocation services. We do our best to ensure that our clients have a positive experience, and we are extremely sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied. If there is anything we can do to better this experience for you please call our customer service line at 561-725-7431.
I do want to point out that you are looking at the wrong BBB page as we do not have anywhere near 70 complaints. At this time, we only have 3. I believe you are looking at the Venture Van Lines out of NJ, whom we are in no way affiliated with. We are out of West Palm Beach FL. Here is the link to our BBB profile for your reference. https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/west-palm-beach/profile/moving-brokers/venture-van-lines-0633-92028660

This company is a freakin joke
This company is a freakin joke. Called to set up a move from North Carolina to California Bill Berlington was the sales rep. He was very cordial at the time and said if we had any questions just to call him on his personnel line. We paid our deposit and then from there all hell broke lose. The move was suppose to start on June 29 or June 30th being the final pickup date, well nothing showed up. Then a text we will be there on July 1st. I guess they send texts out because they damn sure don't answer calls. Well July 1st came and still no movers another text we will be there July 2nd. The movers showed up and put five items on the truck and said we were over the cubic feet already and said they're not loading another item. Contract stated 684 cubic feet, I know 3 dressers, washer, dryer don't even come close. The movers said well we will unload your stuff for a fee of $850 we said the hell you will. We contacted Kate and that was no help, we had to get law enforcement involved to get the movers to unload the items with no help from Venture Van Lines. They took the deposit of $982 and refuses to give it back saying we cancelled the move but the movers wouldn't load the belongings. I have sent emails and made phone calls with no response on emails. I have made phone calls and sometimes they answer but then they hang up. They refuse to talk to me and they say this a Veteran Owned Company way to take care of Veterans. I say this is a freakin SCAMMING COMPANY that says one thing and once they receive the deposit you're tossed out to the wolves. I wouldn't recommend this company if life depended on it. We finally rented a 16 ft box truck from Penske and done it ourselves with room to spare inside if we needed it. This Company is Venture Van Lines LLC

We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. We really strive to ensure that we have satisfied customers and unfortunately it is impossible for us to please every single client. Just from what you have written in this review i can see that not everything you needed transported was on the originally signed estimate when you spoke to our sales representatives as there is no mention of a washer or a dryer on there at all.
Again we are very sorry to hear things didnt go as planned and we will use this feedback to better our business practices moving forward.

Biggest scammers
Biggest scammers. Tony will lie to you to get the contract signed and once you sign and pay deposit you’re at the mercy of the outsourced moving company who basically gives you a new estimate. And Kate the manager is useless too. Avoid at all costs. If you’re moving in Florida, by pass venture van lines and call Crystal movers directly.

We are so glad that you were satisfied with the mover that we sent to do your move! They do great work. Just like any other brokerage, we connect you with the best company in your area that will satisfy your particular needs and it seems we have done just that! We would be more than happy to connect you with them in the future if you need!

SCAMMERS BEWARE
SCAMMERS BEWARE. These reviews are fake bought reviews. The one stars are the actual reviews of customers they scammed. I was scammed out of a $1,000.00 deposit. Tried to cancel in the 72 hour time frame and Jack, Don, Katherine are trying to reassure me to not cancel. I went to the bank and put in a dispute with services hopefully I will get my money back. They are a brokerage that collects a high deposit for finding you movers. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ADDITIONAL HIGH PRICES FOR MOVERS. DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS
Response from Venture Van LinesJul 20, 2023
We are sorry that you were not satisfied with our services.
As of right now we are in the process of processing your refund, however since you disputed with your bank we will go ahead and place the processing on hold to see the outcome of that and what the bank decides. Thank you for your feedback and we will absolutely use your suggestions in the future with clients in order to provide outstanding service!
