Beware Chinese shipping agent running the ‘Bill of Laden Blackmail Fraud’. CHINA VAST LOGISTICS CO.LTD, also called China Vast Logistics Co., Ltd. (Qingdao) are scammers use them at your own peril. I paid $6,500 to this company for a pre-paid service to Johannesburg. I did not receive my Bill of Laden or in fact any other documentation and all my requests were ignored. When the shipment arrived they raised a further invoice for $1,500 and demanded payment. They openly refused to prove or validate the charges and just kept saying pay. I contacted a local lawyer who educated me on this well know fraud called “Bill of Laden Blackmail”. The lawyers told us it would be cheaper to pay the blackmail invoice rather than going through the courts. I count myself lucky that the fraud was only $1,500, because at one point this company had requested $14,000 for a “Door to Door” services we have never requested and would not be stupid enough to use. I mean who would pay $10,000 worth of local taxes to china …… This company had lined up a local clearing agent who was not going to declare the full value of the goods and they were going to split the proceeds. Needless to say I did not use their clearing agent either. If you are looking for a logistics company who will overcomplicate a very simple process and steal your money, then this is the company for you. If not, I suggest RUN ……
