I brought a piece of broken gold chain and the lady was rude to me and sneered that it was fake. I took it to central pawn across the road and was paid 110$ way to go value pawn

My experience at Value Pawn was absolutely appalling, especially given my desperate circumstances. As someone experiencing homelessness and trying to scavenge to survive, I came across what I hoped would be a lifeline: some gold with what I later discovered were diamonds. I was incredibly hungry and just needed to get some cash for food, so when they made an offer, I accepted and signed immediately. The staff at Value Pawn never once informed me that the stones in the gold were diamonds. They just gave me a price for the gold itself. It was only after the transaction was complete and I had left that I realized I had sold something far more valuable than I was led to believe. When I went back to inquire, their response was a cold and dismissive, "Well, diamonds are worthless." This is not only dishonest but feels like outright exploitation of someone in a vulnerable position. They clearly recognized my desperation and chose to withhold crucial information about the value of what I was selling. This pawn shop preys on people's needs and operates with a shocking lack of ethics. I urge anyone, especially those in difficult situations, to avoid Value Pawn at all costs. They are not looking to help; they are looking to take advantage.
