Brought lifetime deal from appsumo No response to mail from either appsumo or uteach Horrendous customer support.

After two years, Uteach is taking steps back on the commitments made to its early customers. Unfortunately, when a business starts to become successful, it often neglects or penalizes its loyal customers by either limiting their plans or offering better deals to new users. Uteach has gone even further, and as a result, they are no longer trustworthy. I would not recommend them to anyone in the future. If the leadership of this business cannot keep its promises and doesn’t understand the fundamentals of running a successful company, then they do not deserve our support. It’s best to avoid this tool altogether.

I was looking for an affordable alternative to established platforms when I found Uteach. Wow! I found it and developed my courses and then Uteach totally screwed their customers by changing all the terms of my plan and raising prices to match much better platforms. Go with a trustworthy, established brand platform. Stay away from this one!

Uteach is an online course platform. They offered a lifetime deal, took money, then reneged on the terms of the deal. Not an ethical business that I'll deal with in future.

Update: (December 2024). Do not purchase; I've used this since 2022. Initially I had no issues and it met my needs, but after uploading more than 35 courses, the vendor suddenly and SIGNIFICANTLY changed the terms and conditions (i.e. reducing my features significantly, asking for more commission, reducing admins and students, and asking for significant subscription fees after I had already purchased a lifetime subscription), leaving me with significant losses of training materials not to mention the amount of time it takes to prepare and upload that material to their site. The software itself might be sufficient, but it's comparable to many other vendors, nothing special, but most importantly, the vendor is untrustworthy, and you'll eventually transfer to a more trustworthy vendor. _____________________________________ Original Review (August 2022): Genuinely good software. For a small consultancy and training organization like myself, this was and is, the perfect solution. The UI is simple, self-explanatory, and optimized for what you really need. The white-labelling option is fantastic and makes my company maintain our professional look and branding. The right balance of services is offered is there, and the template builder really helps to get you online fast and efficiently. The 'Products' section allows me to upsell with digital assets, and the integrations for this being ready are fantastic. So many simple things in this software that help enormously but that many many many other solutions I've tried don't have. For example; - Cut and paste from another document into a course slide, your text is formatted automatically - Insert a photo and add a hyperlink to it - Insert a YouTube hyperlink, it opens the thumbnail - Prepare a quiz in 10 minutes, reuse that same quiz for separate courses if you need - Template certificates, just insert the text you want, your logo and signature and it's done. - The automatic saving of your inputs, simply just click the next screen or thing you want to do without having to worry 'did I save that' or 'did I hit the publish button' - The blog page is so simple, but looks amazing and is a nice value add for clients and students that want to learn a little more and get a feel for who we are as a company - many many many more features Really for me, the usability is fantastic, and if you're looking for something that educates, doesn't consume hundreds of hours to learn, to input your course materials and to deploy to your students and clients - this is the one for you - honestly, you could be online with a course within an hour (if you had the course material of course). The fact that the course website looks professional gives little away about how simple it was on the backend for you.

Initially, it was good until Uteach decided to betray early supporters (investors) of the company. Uteach has now demonstrated itself to be utterly untrustworthy, leaving many of us feeling a profound sense of betrayal and disbelief. It is utterly ridiculous and unbelievable that they would exploit the trust and platform of AppSumo to expand their business, only to later betray the Lifetime Deal (LTD) purchasers by significantly altering the original agreements. Initially, the LTD promised unlimited students, courses, quizzes, and zero fees, creating a sense of trust and commitment. However, in a move that many find incredulous, they have now imposed unacceptable limitations: a maximum of 1,000 users, a mere 5 quizzes, only 3 courses, and a 10% commission on every sale. Such behaviour is not only unethical but also deeply unjust to their early supporters who placed their faith in them. This kind of treatment is simply disgusting and leaves us in disbelief at their audacity. Changing the terms after purchase is not just deceptive; it is wholly intolerable. This breach of trust undermines the very foundation of their relationship with loyal customers, leaving us disillusioned and frustrated. It's unfathomable that a company would so blatantly disregard the commitments made to its earliest and most supportive customers, casting aside their loyalty with such disregard.
