SCAM COMPANY!!
SCAM COMPANY!!! Beware!! This company lures you in with a low price, smooth talking salesman who knows the business, a legitimate appearing front. However, this company is a scam. Their goal is to get you to sign a contract and place a down payment so that they can “hire moving space on other trucks” then send a final contract basically forcing you to either pay the increase in security deposit or they won’t move forward. I received a phone call after I placed my name in a website to obtain multiple quotes at one time for comparison. There is a contract where they require a down payment deposit before you can move. I gave them a deposit of $1300. There is a seven day cancellation policy in which you will not get your deposit back if you cancel seven days before your move. I called them multiple times to get verification of when someone was going to give an estimate for my new box amount. I finally received a phone call four days before my move. They re-calculated the move estimate which was twice as much, 3300 to over $6500. I started to ask why it cost so much! They stated that they simply placed it in some department of transportation software that automatically calculated the cost of space. They continued to give me the runaround. I said I wanted to cancel I don’t trust you. They kept reminding me that there was a legal binding contract stating that they would not give the money back under any circumstances. I found that strange and started to research. I noticed that other customers went through the same issues with this company. Their goal is to swindle money from you by looking like a legitimate moving company. I could not believe such a huge price increase when no one even came over or offered video conferencing to count the boxes and look at things themselves. I also told them that I wanted to go with my original pricing and I would downscale my move. I didn’t hear anything that night but the next morning multiple phone calls came in stating that they wanted to get ready for the move. I said that I wanted to cancel and did not trust them based on what I had heard. Other customers stated that they never received furniture or their belongings as of yet. All I can say is that the five star rating that you see online is false. This company is a scam and I reported them to the authorities. The goal of usamovingsolutions.com is to lure you in, hike up your prices basically forcing you to pay more or lose your prior security deposit. And then the final outcome has been mixed people either say they had a great experience which I highly doubt or, the customers state that their furniture never arrives and it is a horribly unprofessional crew. Buyer beware!
Response from Us Moving servicesMay 17, 2022
First I would like to say we are very sorry you feel like you did not have a good experience with USA Moving Solutions because we strive to show our clients a good experience. Next, USA Moving Solutions is not a scam company or a front company. USA Moving Solutions is a real company that services about 300-400 moves a month with an active DOT that anyone can look up on their own. Now to address your comments in the review: I would like to inform not only you Nichole but everyone how our estimates, and every other company in the industry works. First you put your information in for multiple quotes for moving and we get your information that way. Then USA Moving Solutions calls to let you know we can service your move but we will need some information from you first. The MOST IMPORTANT information we need is your inventory and the services you want to have performed for you. So you, or any customer, must give USA Moving Solutions an accurate description of the items you need to have moved. It is also important to tell us if you need any packing of these items. If an accurate inventory is NOT given that leads to the price being raised. This is explained in our estimate in multiple sections and not hidden. With that being said Nichole only told us that she only needed 16 items/or 64 pieces of furniture (553 Cubic Feet) that needed to be moved in the initial booking call. Nichole signed stating this is what she wanted us to move. Now we do what's called a Quality Assurance call 3-5 days before your move because we know that while you are packing up things can change. Clients either get rid of things and add things they thought they would sell off but didn't and this is why we do that call. During that call Nichole went from the 16 items/or 64 pieces of furniture to 37 items/ or 136 pieces (914 Cubic Feet). This is a big change in inventory and that is the reason for the price change. So if all of this inventory was given the first time around the price would have been correct on the initial booking call. We also ask for a second payment from anyone who adds inventory/services during the Quality Assurance call because we have to re-reserve the correct space on the truck so the truck coming for pickup has the right amount of space needed for the customer. I'm sure if the truck came out with the wrong space and not enough room you would be more upset about having to either wait for a second truck or have to push your pickup date to a different day. But if any client wants to stay with the original inventory and price they can but 99% of the time that happens the clients ends up adding the extra inventory while the movers are on site thinking it will go on with no extra charges. Extra services/space taken up equals cost. With Nichole requesting to cancel 3 days before her first available pickup date she would not get a FULL refund because we had already spent the money given during the original booking to reserve the space on the truck that was all set to go out to her home in 3 days. We did however offer Nichole a partial refund of 30% of her deposit, which is more than what our contract states we have to give back, but she refused and threatened USA Moving Solutions with legal action because she didn't agree and wanted a full refund. That is a form of coercion. Also when you look at our contract you signed it does state that you waive a physical inspection of your belongings. This is because no company that services the lower 48 states can be everywhere so we provide inventories/services over the phone. If anyone wants to do a facetime walkthrough we have no problem providing that but we need to know during the first initial call so we can set that up for the client and representative. Lastly when it comes to delivery of peoples goods; if you again look at the contract signed it does give an estimated delivery window depending on the miles you are moving and the first available delivery date you give the movers at the time of pickup. I hope this helps clarify things for you Nichole and also for whoever is reading this response. USA Moving Solutions is still willing to offer a partial refund so please call our Customer Service Department at 877-531-2813 Thank you
