Honestly, filing for bankruptcy was never part of my plan. I had maxed out all of my credit cards just trying to survive. I relocated to a new city fleeing domestic violence and other serious circumstances, and I initially believed certain agencies were going to help reimburse me or assist with the debt I had accumulated in the process. Because that's what they told me and were just waiting for the "funds to disburse". That help never came. Catching up on payments became impossible, and eventually I made the decision to file and start fresh. I am so glad I took that leap of faith. I started my process with Upsolve in October/November but life happened, as it does, and I didn't complete everything until January. There was zero pressure and the platform was still right there waiting for me. I had my 341 meeting on February 19th and received my discharge in late April 2026. The entire experience was smooth, easy, and genuinely stress free and most importantly, completely FREE. I didn't have to pay for an attorney and I never felt lost. Anytime I had questions, the Upsolve team responded quickly and thoroughly. It's only been a couple of weeks since my discharge and I've already watched my credit score jump from a 425 to a 586 and it's still climbing. I haven't opened any new credit cards or lines of credit either. The growth is coming purely from my consistent monthly bill and rent payments. I am beyond happy and excited about this new beginning, not just for myself but for my children as well. Upsolve gave me access to a real fresh start, and I would recommend it to anyone who feels overwhelmed and thinks they can't afford to get help. You can.
