Loved the idea. I saved up to purchase an annual subscription, hoping it would be a fun activity to bring the whole family together. Upon receiving our first box & reviewing the ingredients, my husband & I decided not to introduce the kids to these products. Our second box was received today & the ingredients are even worse, to the point where we're quite unsure whether or not we're even willing to try them. Artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, MSG, modified everything ... ugh, it's all in there. I was given the impression that these would be quality ingredients, but they feel like Americanized versions of the originals. Maybe they are from the stated country of origin, but if so, they are definitely not the quality we were led to assume they'd be.

I have been sending the largest Yums Christmas boxes to family for a few years. Usually betwen 3 and 5 boxes each year. This year, they said order $99+ and get a free Advent Calendar. Well I ordered FIVE of the large Christmas boxes at $53.00 EACH. That's $265.00 plus tax. But they refuse to send the Free Advent Callendar to me because none of the individual orders was over $99. Their basic response was "too bad, so sad". No attempt at making it right. They are losing a long time customer. I will find another outfit to order from next year.

Beware of Universal Yums! Their deceptive practices are utterly disgraceful. I was enticed to purchase a Ukraine box on March 18, 2024, believing it was a one-time transaction to support a charitable cause. Instead, Universal Yums exploited my goodwill to trap me into an unauthorized subscription, charging me $35.50 without my consent on April 12, 2024. When I discovered this and reached out to request a refund and cancellation of the subscription, they shockingly refused. Their excuse? Once a box ships, they claim it's impossible to issue a refund— a clear sign of their disinterest in fair customer service or ethical business practices. This company’s willingness to leverage a humanitarian crisis for profit, only to then deny any responsibility when caught, is appalling. Anyone considering Universal Yums should think twice. Their operations are a disservice to the spirit of genuine charity and customer respect.

I ordered a 3 month subscription as a gift for someone. They charged me for a fourth month and I emailed and requested it not be sent by the 3rd of the month. It was still sent and I was not refunded. I emailed again, customer service rep NIkka, sent me a link to unsubribe. There was no subscriptions listed in my account. She then responded saying I was enrolled in the "until you canel" subscription. I literally never would have signed up for that. I had to d8spute the charge through my bank after providing evidence the charge was not condoned. This rep was rude and actually gaslit me instead of providing a simple refund. It's a nightmare to work with these people.

I bought a subscription as a gift and they did not like their box due to the variety and flavors. I contacted Universal Yums to ask to cancel and they wouldn’t let me. When I went to the website to submit feedback, my ability to submit feedback was disabled.

This would have been so cool… Until I saw the “Israel” box.. It is very disheartening especially with the current killings of Palestinians. I was really excited for this so I dug deeper and that made it even worse. Apparently there is cards included in the box which states the country was formed in 1948.. Which is the year of the Nakba where 700,000 Palestinians were violently displaced and murdered. Same thing happening now in Gaza.. I saw this on Facebook as an ad and was really excited. Not anymore.

Boy do I regret signing up for the annual subscription. Everything is artifical flavors and preservatives. I've gotten 5 to 6 boxes so far and thrown out 90% of the stuff. Also every country so far has sucked. I haven't wanted to try snacks at any of the countries they've done so far. Trust me and all the reviews, Stay Away!. Majority of reviews are negative too. Find something different to spend your hard earned cash.

Don’t get they’re a scam. I paid 6 months in advance, they shipped one. Never got second never got a response until I called credit card. Next day they respond and said I can’t cancel. I write a review on their fb page , it was taken off and I was blocked. So don’t believe fake reviews on their. I’m writing their state attorney. Stay away and box really easy boring.
