I worked for a corporation for 3 years
I worked for a corporation for 3 years. Had to join a union, they took dues out of my paycheck weekly. I endured a lot of wrongdoings there by management. Was suspended several times for things I did not do. I continue to work there and be harassed, treated badly I could go on and on about the things that happened to me there I was physically abused verbally abused. Reported this to the union, they always check the side of management. And I accepted suspensions over and over for things I did not do. Had a couple of meetings with the Union where I was told to keep my mouth shut that what was important was getting my job back. I had to leave that job because of the harassment. About 2 weeks ago I got a call from someone at UFCW saying they wanted to take care of this issue. Because when I left such job, the union wanted nothing to do with me. Spoke with this representative about 2 weeks ago and was told I would hear back. Of course I never heard back. Now here I am without a job. And I paid all those union dues for 3 years. Only so that they could help management. Remember you're rights you pay the union to work for you. And when I sent them an email asking them what I paid union dues for. They sent me a copy of my contract that I signed when I started there saying I would pay union dues. Yes, I did sign it. But it also said in that contract that they would protect me. Who protected me? Now here I am without a job and they are off the hook. I guess by signing that contract, I was saying it's okay for me to be abused. I come to u and you do nothing about it. Now that's a waste of money for a minimum wage job
