Hi Jeff, I am the Co-founder of HardStop. I'm so sorry this happened to you. We have had over 3,000 members complete this process and no one has ever reported this before. We've reached out to you personally to urgently address this, help however we can and understand how this happened. UPDATE: After investigating further, this was due to updates made by Apple with the beta release of iOS 27 - We have made changes to ensure this never happens again.

Hi Cooper, I'm so sorry about this experience. It seems you might of unplugged the device after clicking to proceed, otherwise the application can't take any effect on your device. We're happy to help you through the process or do anything we can to help. We're also doing our best to consistently make the process as clear as possible so these types of accidents don't happen. Our mission is good, it's just unfortunate that Apple requires turning off these iCloud settings temporarily for the install. Following this is the only way to guarantee zero access to adult content. Hi Jerry, I'm the founder of HardStop and am saddened by your experience because you deserve so much better. I'm sorry. We have hired a new customer support representative and reorganised how we work due to recent feedback. As for the holes in our system - I would really like to understand what wasn't working as we take this very seriously and will always patch any holes ASAP if we become aware of them. The software by design has a wait time to turn it off but I understand under these circumstances it must have been frustrating. As you've said you've been refunded already but if there's anything else I can do please let me know.

Also, due to recent feedback we have hired a new customer support representative and reorganised how we work so this won't happen again. What a frustrating experience. It sounds like the software wasn't installed properly, however, if you reach out to the team at [email protected] we can personally help you with installing the software to guarantee zero access. It's also come to our awareness there is another app using our name. We are NOT on the app store. Make sure you go to the official tryhardstop.com website to use our actual product.
