I am so grateful for all of Debra and her team’s hard work and invaluable knowledge in both editing my book and advising me on marketing. When I was new to self-publishing, and generally had no idea what I was doing, she helped me feel so much more confident in my writing. And now, working on book four, I feel much more prepared. She has given me all the tools I need to market my book and been endlessly patient and wonderful in helping me every step of the way. She was always quick to get back with me on any questions I had, and really dove into the magic, history, and language I created so she could make my characters and story world stronger, and help me put together bonus materials for readers. I can tell she genuinely cares about her writers and helping them succeed. She really went above and beyond for me, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for editing services. I look forward to working with her and her team on future books!

I've worked with Debra and her team for over ten years, since 2014, through 13 novels, and she's taken me from rough draft, through copyediting and proofreading, to final drafts and even book covers. She's a huge factor in why four of my books have been #1 bestsellers. And her cover artist...hoo-wee! He did amazing work for me. I highly recommend Debra and team for any professional writer ready for high-impact support along the publishing path.

I began working with Debra in August of 2023. We were introduced by a mutual friend. After having written many essays, I was completing my first book and naively thought I could self-edit. My initial phone conversations with Debra convinced me that I might have been wrong about that. I sent her my manuscript and heard back within a week. After some further discussions, I decided to move forward with her. Best decision I could've made. We worked together for almost six months, attempting to perfect my 250 pages memoir. When we spoke, I felt like I was talking to a friend. It was a true pleasure. Her knowledge and professionalism enhanced the quality of my work without ever substantially changing my writing style or basic content. Her graphic artist produced the cover exactly to my specifications. She designed a website for me, and even business cards with a QR code. The best review of my work actually came from her proofreader, Elizabeth. I found that extremely gratifying. We got the book copyrighted and then published on Amazon. After I realized how little Amazon pays the writer, I told her that even if I fully grasped that in advance, I would've still moved forward with her exactly as we did. The experience of working with Debra and completing my mission were worth more to me than money earned. I'm proud of our work together.

Debra has edited multiple books for me across my Selling Options for Income series, and the quality of her work has been consistently excellent. She catches the real issues, things like inconsistencies, unclear passages, or repeated phrasing, and she actually explains her reasoning instead of just marking something up and moving on. She’s also fast to respond and easy to work with. Questions get answered promptly, and she treats the manuscript like it matters to her just as much as it does to me. If you’re looking for an editor who’s genuinely thorough and not just doing a surface pass, I’d recommend her without hesitation.
