My puppy is amazing. She came to us at 5 months old already housetrained and doesn’t explore to far from us when we walk her, She doesn’t bark, bite or chew on anything except her designated toys. Her on bad habit was when i came through the garage door she was so excited to see me she would jump up on me. She did not do this to my husband. There seemed to be a cycle being created for when I said no she would stop jumping which made me elated she had listened to me, however this did not stop the behaviour. After I listened to the people puppy presentation and found out poodles/thrive on attention i decided to try a different tactic to get her to stop jumping on me. It seemed like she knew she wasn’t supposed to but still was so excited she could not help herself. I changed what i was doing which was confirmed by the tips i got and my pup ha stopped jumping on me. She is still. Like tiger and likes to bounced but er energies are not directed at me. She is an absolutely lovely dog and i want to do everything I can to keep her engaged and loving the learning process.
