Beware – It's Like a Scam: Overpriced and Poor Service
I strongly advise against using Tollwayr for obtaining the Crit’Air sticker for France. They charged me over £18, more than three times the official price of under £4 available through the French government website. As a first-time traveler to France, I wasn't aware of the official site and was misled by online information suggesting Tollwayr was reliable for urgent orders. Their website implied they could deliver quickly if the trip was within a week, so I trusted them and placed an order. After paying, I received no confirmation or response for over 24 hours. With only 48 hours left before my trip, I grew concerned and emailed them urgently, but got no timely reply. Out of caution, I changed my travel plans and went via Eurostar instead — meaning I didn’t need the sticker anymore. I immediately requested a cancellation and refund, but my emails were ignored. Several follow-ups later, I finally received a response days later, only to be told no refund would be given. In contrast, my friend used the official French government site, paid less than £4, got a confirmation within an hour, received a digital sticker within 2 hours, and the physical sticker in under two weeks. Avoid Tollwayr at all costs. It feels like a scam targeting unaware travelers. Always use the official French Crit’Air website for the fastest, cheapest, and most reliable service.
