About Tokushu Knife

Tokushu Knife is a small, specialist retailer dedicated to authentic Japanese kitchen knives and the craftspeople who make them.We carefully select knives from respected makers such as Nigara Hamono, Masakage, Takamura, and Moritaka, along with whetstones, honing products, sayas, and custom wa handles. Our goal is not to sell you the most expensive knife. It is to help you find the right knife for the way you cook. Founder Tony Maciejewski and the Tokushu sharpening team provide honest, personal guidance before your purchase and knowledgeable support long after your knife arrives. We also offer professional sharpening and custom wa-handle services, with options for wood, handle shape, and ferrule selected to complement your knife and personal style. Every order is carefully packed and insured, and if a shipping issue arises, we handle it directly.Tokushu means “special” or “unique.” We chose the name because the right knife should feel exactly that way: a beautifully made tool you will enjoy using for years.

Consistently Great Experiences
Custom handle install was great and the handle itself is perfect in the hand. Tony went way above and beyond to hook me up with a Moon Pond from Nano-Hone as well. Multiple orders now and never any problems. Shipping is prompt and products are great! Strongly recommended!

The Tokushu branded knives are well…
The Tokushu branded knives are well made, sharp, and look/feel great. Zach and co’s customer service is at a different level than just about any company I’ve dealt with. Ordered Thursday evening and was able to use them Monday evening!

Excellent Service, Trustworthy and Knowledgeable
I was given a gift certificate for my birthday and took several of my knives into Zach to be sharpened. Zach was so helpful and took a lot of time with me to explain knife sharpening and different types of knife steel. I ended up exchanging a knife I was given as a gift for one that Zach thought was one that I was looking for. The knife he recommended was great and sliced through three pounds of Jalapeños in no time. The knives I picked up were extremely sharp and the price was incredibly reasonable. Zach also showed me how to properly use a strop when I picked up my knives. If you have any knife needs at all, please don't hesitate to see Zach at Tokushu Knife in Hixson, TN. Trustworthy merchant!
