The course could actually teach…
The course could actually teach something instead of just having them read a lesson. The way this is set up you don't even need a teacher. It could be graded automatically. Not sure why it costs so much.

Hi Sarah, Teachers provide feedback on the written assignments; if a student would have gotten less than an 80% on their first attempt, the teacher will typically give feedback that will will help the student to get a better grade, and then ask for a revision. There are several resources at the top of the course, above Unit One which will help with navigation. The one that shows where to view teacher feedback and how to make revisions is called How to Resubmit an Assignment. setting up is a bit confusing
setting up is a bit confusing. You also need to sign up on the day you are starting. I did not know this and will have to already miss our first day.

Great concept but not enough instruction to succeed
The concept and content of the program is great but I was looking for something more "hands off" as a parent. It is frustrating to have to guide and check students work before submitting because if you don't it will come back needing to be redone a 2nd time because the student totally missed the point. The teacher feedback was great and I understand the need for a child to re-do work if needed but the instructions are a bit too much for a child to follow on their own and succeed.

Hi Nancy, There is a messaging prompt built right into each student login page where they are encouraged to send the teacher a message if they are ever unsure of what is being asked of them. I usually recommend that a parent help to get the student started, but especially with new methods of learning, some students may need more parental involvement. It looks like your student almost finished the course, and I wanted to let you know that we offer a complimentary 7 day extension -- which should be more than enough time to get her through the last assignment. You may activate this through your parent administration page or by contacting [email protected], who can send you a link.

Good but quite expensive
Overall, I really like the program. The cost, however, has gone up substantially and is quite expensive as a supplemental program.

Maintaining quality teachers, support personnel, and technical staff is instrumental to the integrity of our service; and in order to continue doing so, we had to raise the price once in June of 2018 to meet the increasing cost of doing business. Please know that it is our goal to keep the price as low as possible so that the courses will remain affordable to all who wish to take them.
