My previous review of Timberline was removed, citing my use of their employee's name in my review. That's the name given to me by your employee, which should be fair game in a review. I applied for a debt consolidation loan during a tight financial bind. I was denied by all lenders. The next day I received a phone call from CENSORED Timberline employee, telling me that I had actually been 'approved for zero percent'. When I started asking details of the loan terms, I quickly realized that he/she/them/they were not offering a loan, but were trying to enroll me in a debt relief program. When I called he/she/them out for the deception, they became irate and said 'I guess you know more about my job than I do.' Their attitude did a 180 very quickly when they realized that I was not going to sign up for their program. For those of you unaware, a debt relief program is where you completely stop paying your debtors until they begin to offer you settlements, at which point the debt relief company negotiates a settlement on your behalf for a commission that's 25-30% of the total debt. My one star review is not because I have a problem with debt relief companies... what I have a problem with is when I apply for a debt consolidation loan and you call me telling me I've been 'approved for zero percent'. I'm shopping a consolidation loan because I want to pay my debtors off more quickly. Debt relief is the exact opposite, and your credit score will plummet before it improves. These are deceptive business practices and when I wrote my first negative review, no one from the company attempted to contact me and rectify... they just reported the review and had it removed because it contained their employee's name. See my other reviews if you're looking for a more reputable debt relief company.

I would never recommend Timberline Financial to anyone!! NEVER!! They have 2 of our accounts. They'll tell you that it will take, 3-6 months to get the settlement amounts. It took 9 months for our 1st account. Our 2nd account is STILL NOT settled, a YEAR and 9 MONTHS into it !!!!! The Fees are CRAZY RIDICULOUS !!!!! 2 monthly service FEES = $25.90/month Settlement FEE (only for 1st acct.) = $2576.75 FEE for every check paid to creditors = $12.00 So total assessed Fees for 1 acct. = $3235.75 The fees we were charged, are over half of what we gained in the settlement. You're better off dealing with your creditors on your own! You'll more than likely get a better deal!

Do not do business with this company!! Very unprofessional staff members. In my initial contact with this company I was very impressed by how responsive the agent was and how quick they returned the calls when trying to earn the business. But after working with Nikki Bennett I will never give this company business and ensure everyone I come across will never use this company as well! After her stating that I will have a response from a few hours or up to 24 hours I did not receive a follow up call. After reach out to her and leaving her 3 voicemails I still did not get a returned call. It took me to call there customer service department and request to speak to a manager for her to respond. Only to receive a very sarcastic email from her showing not the slightest bit of empathy for not returning my calls. I responded to the email advising my dissatisfaction with her poor customer service and she continued to go back in forth with me even thought I made it clear in the email that I did not want to work with her any longer and that I wanted her manager to reach out to me . I work with customers and would never provide the horrible service this lady has provided. I do not recommend this company and will make sure none of my family or friends use them as well. And of course no one from the company ever contacted me. Very professional!!

I have to be calling and emailing to request for status updates and even after speaking with representatives who state they will be sending me emails confirming whatever was discussed over the phone, I never get that email. They are good and prompt to get you signed on to their program but afterwards, it feels like you’re left on your own and the representatives that you speak to on the phone sorda have a condescending demeanor like if you’re bothering them when you’re asking for help to a question. I was on the line left on hold for almost 20 minutes the other day to only be told that the representative that I had previously spoke to was not even there. So they said they would leave him a post-it note asking him to email me or call me and it’s been a week and I’m still waiting. This is unprofessional and even after supposedly receiving an offer from one of the creditors I’m trying to settle with, the representative who called me has not followed up with that offer which was proposed to me over the phone. He was asking for more money and/or to extend my payments because the contract that I signed stating the money I’ve been paying isn’t apparently enough to pay off that offer. I’m still waiting to receive a call or for that email detailing to me what was spoken on the phone.
