TILLFUL CARD IS A CREDIT SCAM. Do not give them any money. They scam you and keep your money, and you have to contact The D.O.J. in San Francisco, the BBB and the FTC Consumer Complaints. I still have yet to get my money back. There should be an attorney who wants to take on a class action suit against this company. If you look up the past reviews you'll see over 15 reviews from people who have had their money taken illegally from this company.

No one answers the phone. I have a Tillful card and card is not being reported to the credit burues which is the only reason why I go this card and is the main purpose of this company.

Canceled my subscription all payments made on time and business scores dropped significantly! Why

They claim to help businesses build your credit, but deny telling you that they will ONLY report it to the credit bureaus IF you pay their $20+/month subscription, and still don't report to D&B. When I found this out, I sent an email to their customer service team (since reaching them on the phone was practically impossible), and I've been emailing them since May 12th (it's now August 4th) to cancel the subscription that I'm STILL being charged for and a refund for being double charged for it in June and now again in July. Despite sending literally dozens of emails with absolutely no response from their team, I tried calling again and was told their disputes team NOR customer service team could handle this - it had to be the credit builder team and they "dont have a phone number or direct contact" so I have to wait even longer for a resolution JUST so I can close out this god forsaken account. Don't waste your time, absolutely not worth the headache. UPDATE: I had to get my lawyer involved to get them to refund my money (finally, 3 months later) and it's now mid-September and I still have not been able to close my account or get my money back despite literal DOZENS of emails and phone calls requesting to do so. Not sure how any of this is even legal.

Signed up in January ‘23 with this company for my new business in an attempt to build my business credit. Didn’t get my account reported until April and that showed up right after I emailed them ansking about it. Hooray, at least they reported right? Wrong. They report “payments only”, and the way these bureaus are set up, those reported payments are recorded as a balance owed. So guess what? You now have accounts with balances owed and your utilization gets screwed and score plummets. But rest assured, they will let you know they’ve done their part by reporting your payment. They clearly need to re-evaluate how they report their customer’s accounts because they ruined my credit score for now. Now I have to figure out how to fix it and hopefully not have a hard time getting my secured card deposit back. Dave must be on here writing his own reviews because I found him snarky, even just in email. At least Alyssa seems nice. Fun fact: I now learned that others in my business group have had a similar issue with their scores dropping because of how their accounts got reported. I’m so disappointed. I had such high hopes for their card and credit builder account. Response to reply: As I assumed they would, they once again take no responsibility. My card has never had any balances on it, in fact it has once been left with an overage because they took so long to credit my payment that I ended up paying twice because I thought I didn’t pay. They just took almost a week to credit it. Again, they reported the amount of my payment made instead of reporting my balance which was ZERO. I even supplied them with screen shots to show them this. If they would put this much effort into fixing their errors as they do answering bad reviews about their errors, they’d probably be in good shape. They also clearly answer this faster than do they their support request emails. Shameful.

You said this card was a new PG card and he did not hear about or check my credit, but you didn’t but for some reason you turned me down as a small business I would not even recommend you

My business credit was approved once my deposit(500) was initiated. Two hours after my approval I received an email stating; *****Thank you for being a Tillful cardholder. While we appreciate your interest in doing business with Tillful, it has come to our attention that some of your activity may have violated Tillful’s terms and conditions. Consequently, we will no longer be able to provide services to you and your account has been permanently closed. Please note, this decision is final and we do not disclose the specifics of our decision making process in order to keep Tillful a safe platform for all of our customers. If you have already initiated a deposit, please contact your bank to initiate a return of the funds to your bank account. Sincerely, Tillful Card Support****** I am not sure why this happened since I didn’t even get a chance to use the services they offer, I was still waiting for my card to arrive. And to have to ask for a refund via my bank when Tillful was the merchant that removed the $500 from my account was definitely an inconvenience. I had to call my bank and explain to them what happened. The rep I spoke to was even taken back by Tillful’s email. I wish I could have at least experience this service but I am also glad this happened before I actually started using the card.

10/10 would not recommend this company’s secured Mastercard or their customer service. UPDATE: I received an email on Dec 13 that my deposit cleared pending status. Dec 14 I received a call from an agent that informed me that my $5k security deposit is being refunded within 5 business days. I was also informed that the pending status of my deposit and the lack of a call back to my accountant was due to a staff shortage they experienced in November and because of the thanksgiving holiday. The agent then deferred responsibility of the abrupt account closure decision to Sutton Bank, the issuing bank and said it was not their decision. I was also informed that Sutton Bank is allegedly looking into/ investigating what ToS was violated before even receiving my card. I will supposedly hear back when there is more information. I have not received any communications, correspondence, information, nor have I been contacted by Sutton Bank in any way - no calls, no mailed letters, and no emails received. The below facts of my company’s experience with Tillful will not be edited or removed. At the time of this update (end of business on Dec 14) my refund has not been initiated in my business checking account My company was approved for their secured Mastercard on Nov 2, which is when I initiated my $5k security deposit that understandably would take the notorious 3-5 business days to clear. In my checking account the $5k cleared from ‘pending’ to debited on Nov 4. Tillful’s policy of timing is to clear within 3-5 business days. Nov 8 my company receives an email that alerts me that my account is permanently closed for card activity that “violates their terms of service” (ToS) of the card. Nov 10 my accountant calls to clear up the matter and is told they will look further into it and call us back. Nov 10 my registered agent received the physical card. Nov 26 I am able to activate the card after receiving it from my registered agent. My account is still active and shows the deposit is still pending (and after some searching I see this is not uncommon or other account holders so I figure I will wait for them to still call back from my Nov 10th call) I have not been able to use my card at all with this company and hadn’t even tried once I did activate it!! Now, I am a reasonable person when it comes to IT as I am a former software engineer and Tillful being a fintech company I completely understand there could be major system glitches etc at play and am willing to wait for them to iron out the kinks on this matter. Dec 12 - today, I login to my account and see most fields greyed out that weren’t greyed out before and also still see the pending status on my deposit. So I call to see what is wrong with my account and no answer - I am instructed to leave a voicemail that will be returned. I reluctantly leave a message after not having a call back for over a month now from the original call made by my accountant. I received a call back (today) The agent confirms that my account has in fact been closed and cannot tell me the specific reason/ what ToS violation that caused my account to be closed. She tells me she will escalate the matter and I will receive another call back. While I’m asking her when I will receive a refund for my $5k security deposit, another agent was calling, which I sent to voicemail not knowing it was Tillful calling. He leaves a leaves voicemail telling me to call back regarding the issue. I’m thinking that is the escalation call I was expecting and he tells me he is the same level as the other lady I already relayed the information to!! BOTH agents informed me that the deposit is in pending status on their end and they cannot and will not issue a refund for my $5000!!! I was instructed to call my bank to get my money back!!! I turned it back on them as it is their responsibility to resolve this issue that is clearly one-sided in THEIR systems. There’s no way the TOS could have been violated when I didn’t even have my card yet! At the time of this post I am still stuck at 1.) my case “being escalated” (for which could take 24-48 hours to get a callback for) and 2.) to contact my bank for a refund of my $5000 security deposit because their system still shows it as pending when they cancelled it during the pending status. I am irate at how a company can put the onus back onto me to get my funds back when it is clear their system is at fault for permanently closing my account for unknown infractions that are impossible when my company didn’t yet have possession of the credit card!!
