Frames Discolored From Storage, Not Use — Poor quality, worse customer service
UPDATE: The below ThinOptics response is inaccurate and therefore false. I provided the photos of product and followed up multiple times. The rep did not provide multiple options and contradicted themselves. I requested a supervisor and that request was rejected. Happy to provide the exact thread verbatim. I bought these readers 3 years ago and have only worn them for occasional business travel (~15 times total). The color has faded where the legs meet the frame — from storage, not wear or use. I've worn glasses since age 4 and have never had a pair discolor like this. When I contacted ThinOptics, they ran me in circles: first saying this wasn't a normal expectation, then calling it normal wear and tear. When I asked for a supervisor to discuss a repair or remedy, they ignored the request. Save your money and the hassle — ordinary drugstore readers have never given me this problem. The quality here doesn't match the price, and the company doesn't stand behind its product.

Hello, Jelena. Thank you for your review. After reviewing your ticket, we were unable to locate any purchase record under your name or either email address for the red Brooklyn frames. A manager responded to your inquiry within 2.5 hours and offered several ways to proceed — including providing proof of purchase or sending complete photos so we could verify the product and evaluate the issue. We did not receive any follow‑up information that would allow us to continue. Our warranty requires proof of purchase from ThinOptics or an authorized retailer, and we’re unable to process repairs or replacements without that verification. Regarding your September 1 order, the pricing you received was the best available promotion for those specific items at the time of purchase. We’re always happy to assist once we have the details needed to review a claim. — The ThinOptics Team
