I clicked on their 30% off for first time purchase. Gave my address, subscribed as required. Then I get a different coupon that gives 30% off only if you buy a keychain. I don't need the keychain I need the phone case and I wouldn't have given my info if they had not mislead. They eventually offered me a code for 20% off and free shipping… which was okay with me. But surprise it is an invalid code. It doesn't work. Don't expect them to honour any promise or offer they make. [update] They have responded to me on this review. They confirm the coupon offer they make is different than the one they actually give. Personally I won't do business with them until they stop baiting people for their contact information with one offer, but then switch it to a lesser offer.

I have purchased Thinoptics in the past and was very pleased with the product and service. I recently purchased their new model three weeks ago and am still waiting for them to be delivered. I sent an email a week ago and received a generic response that someone would email within a few days. I’m still waiting for an email. I tried to call the company today and basically was told that all their customer service people were assisting other customers and to leave a call back number. I am very disappointed in Thinoptics, especially after having told family and friends over the past couple of years how great their glasses were as well as their service. I will be hard pressed to ever purchase from them again.

I recently purchased two pairs of Thinoptics Manhattan design reading glasses. These are the full sized readers that retail for $50 each! I had purchased several pair of their original readers that sit on across your nose. After replacing multiple pairs because of the poor quality (nose piece kept breaking) I decided to give the new design a chance. The concept was great and for $50, I assumed the quality and durability would be better. Boy was I wrong. The glasses are OK. They are very light but are no better than $5 readers from Costco. The issue is with the case that goes on the back of your phone. It has extremely small plastic hinges. They both broke within 2 days so the case and functionality are useless. If your phone sits on your desk, fine. If you carry or God forbid put your phone in your pocket, forget it. The hinges are so fragile that they break with the slightest amount of lateral pressure. Save your $50.

I have been doing business with thinoptics for years. I bought several of their original reading glasses. Had several issues but they were very quick to respond. I requested and they sent several replacements free of charge with no problems. Several months ago I ordered their new Brooklyn style readers from their frontage line, I did not like the way they fit, had a hard time returning them, they finally relented and offered a refund. Later I bought another pair, this time the Manhattan style. Good fit but the case broke within a week! I contacted customer support, I sent a picture of the broken case. They e-mail letting me know they will look into it!!! A month later, still no response. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY!

Bought four pairs. Scratch very easy, all four pairs. Charge for replacement. Scratch cleaning with cloth, tissue and plastic case. Would pay more for a better product. Look carefully before buying.

Ordered 2 pairs of glasses on 14/8 and still not received. Raised matter with customer services and got an apology and a personal promise that my glasses would be dispatched immediately. Got a new order number but still no confirmation of order received and no tracking information. Sent another email to customer services and being told it will be looked at within 5 - 7 days. Soon be 2 months since order placed and nowhere near even having my goods dispatched. I buy from companies on the internet on a daily basis and my experience with thinoptics is the worst I have ever experienced. Absolutely shocking. Update: 24 hours later now have my glasses. Had to collect them from my local post depot. Also had to pay a customs and handling fee of £20.91. Still never received any order confirmations. Turned out to be a very expensive and unpleasant experience.

I've two types of ThinOptics reading glasses. The original pair have been replaced several times because the nose piece, two micro-thin pieces of medal have fallen off making them uncomfortable to me. Replacing them was no problem the first time. Second time, same issue, same replacement experience. It was good. Based on this experience, I sprung for the new "Front page Collection Manhattan Glasses" . The glasses are great but the necessary glass case is cr-p. It broke on September 1st. To date, eve after sending pictures of the broken case, the best answer I get is that in 8 business days, someone will address my issue. So service is off, way off and so a 1 start rating.

I bought 5 pairs of these glasses, unfortunately all of them broke on th bridge and they do scratch. Won't buy again as per contacting them I send them an email 10 days ago, still no response
