The work number is worthless. I spent a day taking time recording me locking the door and the outside of my office only for them to never be able to provide any information. Companies are moving to this for employment verification but THEY DON'T HAVE ANY INFORMATION TO VERIFY. It's truly baffling and beyond frustrating.

This company is called Equifax The Work Number. Absolute TRASH of a company. I tried making an account for my husband, the code wasn’t put in the system in enough time and it disabled account creation for 48 hours. After ONE try. Then I called… Their IVR system picked up WIND THAT WAS BLOWING BY!!! It’s extremely sensitive and doesn’t give an option to disable it. It picked up me standing up, then automatically hung up. JUST TO GET HELP to log in, you have to dial 1 seven times, then dial 3. It’s absolute chaos. THEN when I finally spoke with someone, they wouldn’t let my husband give me permission to make his account. But they said they can call him after he’s off work. I called back again after he was off work, and guess what? IT WAS A LIE! They cannot outbound call people. I’m INCREDIBLY frustrated and honestly at this point this company needs a massive overhaul.

So far.....utterly useless. They have clearly contracted to hold employee data for organisations so that HR teams do not have to deal with reference checks. However, 1. it’s ridiculous that you have no customer support number on your website and that enquiries need to be made by forms. I’m trying to undertake an employment check for a tenant and six days later still cannot approve his application because you are too cheap to have a number I can contact. 2. Your website will not tell me how much you’ll charge me for the check BEFORE I register, the website is confusing. 3. Despite providing legitimate LLC information for my organisation which can be verified, you are basing my application for an account on an email address and are denying me an account on the basis of internet provider. How is this relevant? In any way. Your organisation is not fit for purpose and is not set up to enable any small independent organisation to set up accounts. It is easier to get a passport than to set up an account with you. Why not require verified evidence that I wear a suit each day to work…..that’s about as useful in approving me as requiring me to have a non gmail, yahoo email address. Overall, not capable of running an efficient business in an area where people’s careers, homes rely on access simply and rapidly to these details. I know you guys will cite security as being a cause for delays.....that’s fine. Just give legitimate businesses a way to work with you. My potential tenant has just lost his application….we will go with someone easier to verify.
