The Rainmaker Family sells the dream of passively working during naptime. The easiest way to make an income and "retire your husband"
The reality: many mothers who sought to end their mom guilt after being targeted are now in debt. Amazon as a selling platform requires a heavy pocket load to keep up with the pay-per-click advertisment required for being on the first page. This cost was never explained to any of us and by the time some of us actually launched, so much debt was already accrued.

A Wolf in Sheep’s clothing
I would like to start this post of by saying that in glad that the truth is coming out so as many people can be warned about this scam of a business.
I bought the master mind in March 2023. At that point I was a single parent trying to find a way to provide for me and my five kids.
I saw the posting of the Rainmaker Challenge and was sucked into it hook like and sinker.
As I was getting ready to charge my friends credit because I had no money to my name I just assumed I would be able to pay her back in the very near future based on the success rate of this program.
Due to some life circumstances I ended up starting in June 2023 and shortly after I slowly began to see that this program was not as I had expected.
I was not aware that their Facebook group you join was only available for a year.
Then the coaching that they offered was very limited and only helped you in phase one of the program and there are four phases.
The start up costs were not included when we signed up for the program all of a sudden I need to get incorporated , get a trade mark which later to find out had a high percentage of being turned down because without the use of a lawyer to be through all you would get your whole product pulled from Amazon. But you couldn’t sell without being trademarked and you had to wait to find out if your trademark was ok it could take up to a year to find out. And if it didn’t work out then you would have to start from scratch and pay more money.
They don’t tell you about all the launch costs, they have their “fancy profit calculator”
To help you see if your product will make money but they don’t factor in all of the start up costs that will eat into the profit of launching your first product. They tell you the profit of your first product sales will help you pay for the next shipment which is not true you don’t make any money from that and need to spend more money to order your next shipment.
They don’t tell you about the additional cost like PPC and storage fees which get super high if your product doesn’t sell fast enough.
What you see in sales for
All these supposed successful rainmakers does not paint the whole picture.
The take home is never talked. About and a lot of the time is such a small amount.
This is not a do it while your kids are sleeping business it’s take all your time, mental effort and it becomes a burden for the lives of so many hopeful moms who wanted to create a better lives for their families.
The Facebook group that they created for the Mastermind is only allowing positive comments and anyone who tries to express their hardships is either kicked out after they paid do their membership or send a private message of how they need to change their mind set and have a how can I attitude.
Well rainmakers I will take that one thing away!
How can I make sure that I warn as many people as possible to avoid the fate so many have encountered with the false promises and fake claims. You are a wolf in sheep clothing luring your victims until it is too late.

Hi Magda,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.
Our goal has always been to empower families by providing clear guidance and support to build sustainable businesses.
While we strive to be as transparent as possible about the challenges and realities of entrepreneurship, we understand that everyone's journey is different, and not every approach works for every individual. Regarding the Facebook group, the membership agreement you signed in March 2023 does state that group access is available for 12 months.
We also acknowledge that unforeseen costs can be a heavy burden, and we want to assure you that our intention is never to mislead anyone. We offer a variety of tools, including the profit calculator and courses related to PPC, to help our community assess the potential for their business, but we understand that real-world circumstances can sometimes be more complex than anticipated.
Thank you again for your feedback. We are committed to improving the way we serve our community and ensuring that future members have a clearer understanding of the program.

Preying on Moms
I have been through the Challenge and bought into the up-sell into the Mastermind in hopes of giving my family a stream of passive income. Unfortunately, after buying into the Mastermind and then renewing for a second year out of desperation, I came to the realization that their marketing practices are deceptive and based on lies. They lie about how much people are making on Amazon by sharing only gross sales volume and not net profit. They lie about it being a passive income stream. (Everyone I know has to work constantly no matter how well they are selling) And finally, they lie about the overall ability to compete on Amazon with overseas manufacturers. (Amazon strongly favors foreign manufacturers with their policies and fees) I am now filing for bankruptcy as a result of following their program and I am nowhere near alone in that. Unfortunately MANY of the women and families that joined when I did are in the same boat. Stephen is a charismatic speaker, but his words are hollow and deceptive, and his financial success has been built on the backs of ruined moms and families.
Edited to add: Their reply to me states that they provide a range of possible outcomes and are committed to transparency. However they consistently and aggressively censor and silence anyone with negative outcomes, not only in public comments but also in the private, paid-for membership community. I leave the readers of this review to decide for themselves whether this is a hallmark of a transparent company.

Walk away .. dont let them suck you in...i learned my lesson
I'd suggest you walk away and not engage with this organization. The RainMaker family advertisements sucked me in with the claims that you could make money passively while being a mom and even while you sleep. It's far from the truth. I was 100% invested in my experience until I started to see they sensor all FB posts to only those that are having positive experiences, while those who posted about their struggles were censored out so those of us naive enough couldn't see the truth. They arent honest about the upfront costs or about profit margins. I've poured over 50k into products and over 2 years in and have yet to see a return on my investment. I finally appealed through the 10k payday, which took over 8 weeks and constant follow up but got my membership money back and they reimbursed me for product that they guaranteed i'd make money on and never did. It's still thousands of dollars short of the investment i made. Save yourself the heartache and look somewhere else for a side hustle.

Buyer Beware
I joined the Rainmaker program in Nov 2022, believing that The Rainmaker Family & their team genuinely had my best interests at heart—especially since they target moms seeking time & financial freedom. As a single Mom who works full time, this was music to my ears. Unfortunately, I have since realized that this was extremely misguided.
I ultimately decided I had nothing to lose by putting myself in debt to join their program because of their "10K Payday Guarantee." They market this as a safety net, promising that if you fail to generate 10k in sales, they will pay you that amount. They advertise that they have never had to pay it out, however, the criteria required to claim this guarantee are incredibly unrealistic, often relying on factors you have no control over. The real reason they have never paid it out isn’t because no one has tried to claim it, but because they deny every request.
My first inkling that this process was not as easy or affordable as they marketed it to be was as soon as you get into the program you start learning about all the expenses required to set up a business & all the subscriptions & memberships they ‘recommend’ to be a successful Amazon seller. They try to upsell you all kinds of extra resources, which I later found out they get kickbacks from.
Outdated training videos: Researching products & buying samples is the easy part, but once I was pretty deep into the program of actually trying to create my listing & launch, I realized that many of their training videos regarding these steps were outdated which resulted in delays until I called Amazon for support.
Profitability calculator: The calculator provided in the course is very basic & does not include the majority of expenses you will need to launch a product. It does not account for samples, photography, graphics for listing images or A+ content, or PPC to name a few, & certainly does not account for paying people to help you create listings or manage your PPC if you choose to outsource. (Outsourcing a lot of the responsibilities is critical if you want this business to be truly passive.)
PPC: advertising is essentially a must on Amazon, especially at the beginning. This is a MASSIVE expense & is not brought up in a significant manner until you are far too deep into the program. At that point, you either have to learn PPC yourself or outsource it to someone else. (They again make upsells to companies for kickbacks) There is no way to accurately estimate how much PPC will cost for each product but it can eat up your profits quicker than you can blink. They sell this to you as being temporary & I bought into it as the cost of launching a product, realizing that sometimes it takes months to rank organically on Amazon & not need so much PPC. While that is true, PPC is a fact of life on Amazon & is still my biggest expense. They recommend your profitability % to be 30-40% but in reality, it needs to be at least 50-60% to account for PPC. They also encourage you to spend a ton on PPC at launch to rank on page 1 which, if successful, will get you to 10k in sales quickly, therefore nullifying your need for their 10k payday guarantee. (Did you catch that trick?) Regardless, after the ‘launch period’ you will most likely need PPC to some degree forever & there is no way to estimate what that cost could be as it can change each month. The reason I want to stress this so much is PPC can be a HUGE factor in your take-home profits. If you rely solely on their calculator to estimate your actual profits to budget paying back loans/credit cards you used to make your initial investment you are SCREWED. This fact alone is what causes most people to struggle to get out of debt. It is so easy to see those numbers & think you can easily pay a credit card back when in reality you will not bring home anywhere near that amount after all the launch expenses & PPC. And don’t forget you have to have $ on hand to place a reorder for your product when you are low on stock. It is a vicious cycle of hemorrhaging money to stay afloat.
I was initially impressed with the program so the onslaught of new members leaving positive reviews makes sense. It took months to get far enough along to start seeing the shortcomings. Still, I had bought into the mindset & continued to push to launch more products believing that I would break the cycle & become as profitable as the profitability calculator implied. Sadly, now that I am far enough into understanding the big picture of running an FBA business on Amazon, it is now crystal clear that this program was extremely misleading. LAUNCHING a product on Amazon is pretty easy to do, but building a profitable business on Amazon is a whole lot harder than they advertise it to be & is far from passive. It is not the rinse & repeat method they teach. Buyer beware!!!

Trapped by False Promises: My Rainmakers Nightmare
Writing this review is something I never wanted to do. When I joined the Rainmakers Mastermind Program in January 2023, I was so excited and filled with hope. I believed in the promise of financial freedom and passive income they offered, and I went "all in" like they preach. I genuinely thought I had found a group of people I could trust to guide me on this journey.
But my experience has been a nightmare. The promises of success, passiveness, and minimal investment were incredibly convincing, but I now realize I was manipulated and targeted as a mom with too little experience to recognize the red flags. They brought me in by playing on my emotions with their deceptive sales pitch, making it difficult to see the truth until it was too late. Despite following their program step by step—attending calls, listening to replays, and going all in—they failed me. The guidance was incomplete, and misleading, and has left me in a very difficult financial situation.
One of the most glaring issues with the program is the emphasis Stephen places on taking calculated risks. However, the calculations provided by their profitability calculator are deceptive. The tool fails to account for essential costs, such as PPC (pay-per-click) advertising, which isn't even mentioned until you are already deeply committed. By the time PPC costs are introduced, you're so far in that there is no practical way out. Because the profitability calculator is so misleading, you’re likely to find yourself in debt far longer than you anticipated, trapped by an incomplete picture of what it really takes to succeed. This business model is absolutely not passive, as they claim.
On top of that, they recommended services like 7 Figure Funding and Prime Tax, which only added to my financial burden. These services came with exorbitant fees and, in the case of Prime Tax, incorrect tax filings that led to even more stress and complications.
I do not believe that Stephen and Chelsey even sell on Amazon themselves. It’s clear they’re making their money by selling this course, fully aware that selling on Amazon is not as profitable as they portray. The toll this has taken on my life—emotionally, financially, and physically—has been overwhelming. My credit score has plummeted, and the stress has led to health issues that I can’t afford to address.
If you are reading this, then I believe you are trying to do your due diligence, and I commend you for that. Please be careful when reading the five-star reviews—many of them are from people who are just starting out, still excited and have no idea of the harsh realities that lie ahead. Others are from years ago when Amazon was a different world, with fewer competitors and more opportunities. Today, the landscape has changed drastically, with countless new competitors entering the market at much lower prices. I’ve launched three "coach-approved" products that checked all the Rainmaker system boxes with search volume and competitors, and I am still not profitable over a year into selling. And as for being passive? Not at all—at least not for the first two years, based on my experience. I’ve worked countless hours a week, taking time away from my family—the very reason I joined this program was to stay home with my son, be present, and provide financially for my family.
Stephen also talks a lot about the importance of community, and that was a big part of why I joined. But my experience was disheartening. I was personally called out by Stephen for simply asking if anyone wanted to work together as accountability partners. I was told that they didn't want outside groups forming. Now I understand why—they want to control the narrative. I’ve since learned that they delete posts from people who are being honest and trying to warn others. If members make connections outside the group, they lose control over what is said, and they can’t censor the truth.
Here’s what I suggest: Search for more recent reviews from people who have actually used the program for more than a year and launched at least one product. If you don’t have knowledge in this e-commerce world, a brand already built, or a big audience, I am screaming from the mountain tops—do not use the Rainmaker program! If you do have experience in e-commerce, a brand, a large audience, and a product in mind, there are many other resources available that will help you launch your product at a much lower cost—without the brainwashing and misleading tactics.
This program preys on people like me- those looking for a genuine opportunity to support their loved ones. They have become greedy, and their system simply doesn’t work. They are hurting so many families and I can't stay silent about it.

Unfulfilled promises
I reached out to the company many times to give them suggestions on how to improve, but for those considering this program, don’t! It is not a full blown scam but it is a ton of unfulfilled promises that led to the immeasurable debt of hundreds of moms. I don’t want to take the time to write anymore because to be honest, it’s not worth taking anymore time.
Edited because I’m baffled by their response: First off you’re going to threaten me legally after the hell you have put our family through? You’re really going to sit back there and continue your gaslighting with legal allegations that would indeed fall back on you? I’m glad because now you just look like ever bigger monsters to anyone who reads these reviews.
Second, my assumption on the number of how many are in debt is because I personally know of over 200 girls just from my time in the program and due to the fact that multiple people asked you guys for the data on success vs debt and every time the question would be deleted or not answer, I had to give a raw estimate. My question would be, do you really know? Do you know how many people who have taken your course are in debt? Because if you did and it didn’t grieve you, I have serious, serious concerns.
Lastly, this is the only review I’ve ever written so I have literally no idea what you’re talking about. You guys are the ones who make fake profiles to creep into pages, definitely don’t project that weirdness on me. And a majority of your positive reviews were incentivized or from a less invested, smaller challenge which did not leave them in $20-30 k debt. So if you really want to play that game of whose reviews are fake, check yourself.

Hello again Courtney. We see now you are creating multiple accounts to leave multiple poor reviews.
We take customer feedback seriously and strive to provide transparency in our business practices. However, we would like to address the statement in your review claiming that “thousands are in debt” as a result of our training programs. This statement is factually incorrect and does not reflect the experience of the vast majority of our customers.
Clarifying the Facts:
The claim that "thousands are in debt" is simply untrue. We pride ourselves on our commitment to financial responsibility and customer satisfaction. We encourage anyone with specific concerns about their financial experience to reach out to us directly, so we can resolve the matter. However, spreading false information can cause undue harm to our reputation and affect the trust we’ve built with our customers.
Our Rights and Legal Considerations:
Under California Civil Code § 45, knowingly making false statements about a business in a public forum, as presented in your review, could be considered libel. Libel involves the publication of false statements that harm a business's reputation, and such claims can have significant legal consequences if proven untrue.
Furthermore, if a review contains inaccuracies intended to harm our business, it may also fall under California Civil Code § 46 for trade libel, which prohibits misleading statements that damage a business's financial standing or reputation. We protect ourselves against these types of statements to ensure a fair and truthful representation of our services.
We understand that there may have been a misunderstanding, and we’re happy to work with you directly to resolve any issues. However, we kindly ask that reviews accurately reflect experiences to ensure a fair representation of our business.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to clarifying any concerns you may have through direct communication.

False promises led to more debt.
When I joined Rainmakers, we were told in the challenge that it was possible to make six figures and higher by following their plan to an Amazon business. I was told by my coach and by responses to my Facebook questions that I could get started with as little as $1000-$2000 dollars invested. This was an outright lie.
Once in the program I realized several of the training videos were several years old. Old enough that the screen they showed wasn’t even what the current Amazon caller central page looked like. The launch they promoted violated Amazon’s terms of service in a round about way and everything was an upsell after spending $5k to get into the mastermind.
The teaching about PPC was incredibly outdated. Every thing they said to do, I did. Then they couldn’t give me any other ideas so I just wasted money on PPC and though made sales wasn’t able to get paid anything. PPC took all my profit.
When I asked for the 10k guarantee promise, I was ignored for several months, then asked the same questions over and over. Then I was denied for invalid reasons. I was able to reply with responses to all the bogus denial reasons. Eventually after 5 months I got my $5k back and then some money toward the inventory I had purchased. At that point I was in so much debt and now accruing interest, I couldn’t do anything. My credit score tanked and I still horrible 18 months later because I can’t pay off all this debt from starting the business.
Which by the way rainmakers never talked about. They glossed right over the fact it would cost thousands to get up and running not even counting buying inventory.
Please just do Helium10 and their classes. Do not trust Rainmakers or believe they are doing God’s will for your life. Just run away from this group fast.
In response to your response below that says my courses weren’t marked as complete, I’d like to point out there was an update of the rainmaker system that actually changed all the courses marked as complete to incomplete while I was an active member. I have no idea if you’ve updated it again and these courses have been marked as such from your own system updates but I can assure you while I was an active member I watched all the courses.
Unfortunately, when I tried to share my experience and concerns in the past through an email to Stephen I only received a once sentence email back from him saying, “ thank you for your feedback” that was it. I am not sure why now you’d offer anything different if I reached out and I don’t appreciate that you are gaslighting others who might read my review and your response by saying my content is marked as unread. When you would have had to review this when you finally agreed to give me a refund that I fought hard for. I honestly want nothing more to do with rainmakers and refuse to log in to any content you may have updated. I’ve seen first hand what this course did to me and to other women like me.

Dear Jennifer,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand that your experience with Rainmakers has been disappointing.
When experiencing these issues it is best you come to us privately so we can assist you.
Our course is updated almost daily so if you were seeing older videos it is possible you were looking at the wrong portion of the course. We have a robust system of updating every module every Quarter, and the PPC module was very recently updated with a full PPC workbook and step by step videos to help you in this aspect of your business.
Looking up your account under this email we can see that these lessons are not marked as complete which would explain this experience. Please remember that PPC (advertising) is under your control and needs to be managed so that it doesn't cut into your budget.
We recommend reviewing the budgeting lessons to ensure you're protecting profit.
While we aim to provide realistic guidance on business ownership, individual success can vary based on factors like dedication, market conditions, and product selection. We're committed to reviewing our strategies to ensure clearer expectations for each of our members.
We continuously update our programs to align with Amazon's evolving guidelines, ensuring your business operates within their policies and best practices. We also take compliance with Amazon's terms of service very seriously and thus, our responsibility to provide strategies that align with their Amazon's policies.
If you're open to discussing these issues further, we'd be happy to connect with you to explore potential solutions. Please feel free to reach out to our support team.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
