This leather kickstand case looks great, feels good in the hand, the cutouts are perfect, and the kickstand is very handy. My complaint is that it's not really compatible with wireless charging. The magnetic kickstand ring gets very hot and the phone barely charges, if at all.

I love the color I've chosen which was a purple leather. My only complaint was, for it to be magsafe, it was not. The leather was too thick for the magnet to stick. I was hoping to rig it a bit but just decided to put on another case i purchased. Another reviewer mentioned on the shipping time taking up to 2 weeks. they were appositely corrected. when i saw it coming from China i wanted to cancel my order.

Hi Johnny, Appreciate the balanced feedback because you highlighted both sides. Glad you loved the purple leather finish — we put a lot of attention into offering Pixel users more variety because the ecosystem deserves more than generic black cases. Now for the important part: If the case was purchased primarily because it was advertised as MagSafe-compatible, but the magnetic hold was too weak to be practically usable, then we understand the disappointment. You explained it clearly: Loved the color and appearance ✅ Magnet strength through the leather material ❌ Shipping expectations ❌ And you’re right — if the leather thickness reduces magnetic strength to the point where you switch back to another case, then the feature effectively failed for your use case. On shipping, we also want to clarify that we operate with US and China warehouses depending on inventory and model availability. However, we understand the frustration of discovering international fulfillment after purchase rather than having those expectations set more clearly upfront. Reality: A beautiful case only gets you halfway there. If the core function you bought it for (MagSafe use) doesn’t perform strongly enough, aesthetics alone won’t save the experience. We appreciate the honest feedback and we’re actively improving both magnetic performance and shipping transparency. — Madison The Pixel Case Team

The Pixel 9 Pro aluminum case looks nice but is way too slippery for my liking. It already slipped out of my hand and fell apart on hitting the concrete. I gave it 2 extra stars since it protected my phone. I do like the built-in MagSafe ring which is the main reason I am keeping it (for now). I regularly use a Pelletier cooler on the back which needs the combination of metal case and ring to keep it cool during high battery and max screen use. Will probably use a high friction tape on the sides to improve that issue. Too long a delivery time from China. EDIT: I ordered Dragon Grips for the slippery sides which has greatly improved this case's useability. Despite the needed $13 upgrade I will keep this case. My star review remains applicable.

Hi James, This is one of the most useful reviews we’ve received because you actually lived with the case and explained the trade-offs instead of just saying “good” or “bad.” You highlighted the exact conflict with aluminum-style cases: Looks premium ✅ Works well with MagSafe + thermal accessories ✅ Can become too slippery ❌ You’re absolutely right — if a case slips out of your hand and hits concrete, grip becomes more important than appearance very quickly. The positive part is that even after falling apart, it still protected the phone, which is critical. But having to add Dragon Grips / friction tape to get comfortable daily usability means we still have room to improve. Your setup with the Peltier cooler + magnetic ring + metal back is actually a great real-world use case and probably more demanding than average use. The fact that the magnetic system worked for that is good feedback. On shipping: We operate with US and China warehouses, depending on inventory availability, but we agree that delivery expectations need to be clearer. Reality: You basically engineered your own solution: "good function, insufficient grip." And while we appreciate the creativity, customers shouldn’t need a $13 upgrade to optimize a case. That feedback is going directly into future iterations around texture and side grip design. Thank you for taking the time to write such detailed feedback. — Madison The Pixel Case Team

It's a beautiful case, got the blue leather with the wallet attached. The slots for the wallet were fine. Held cards with no issue. Only problem is the case did not have a strong magnet on the back to hold the wallet. It kept coming apart when it was in a protective sleeve in my purse. I dropped my phone once and the wallet shot off in another direction. Phone was not damaged at all. Shipping was okay it was delivered in 2 weeks. But it was coming from overseas so that was going to be a delay right from the start. I thought Pixel cases were made in the US.

Hi Karen, This is actually very balanced feedback — and you highlighted both what worked and what still needs improvement. Glad you liked the look of the blue leather wallet version. And good to hear the card slots themselves performed well and held securely. Now on the important issue: Wallet magnet strength You’re right — if the wallet detaches too easily in a purse sleeve or separates during a drop, then the magnetic hold isn’t strong enough for real-world use. Especially on a wallet system, confidence matters more than aesthetics. The good news is the phone itself stayed protected after the drop — that part did its job. But the wallet separation is something we’re actively improving with stronger magnetic configurations in newer versions. Shipping / overseas assumption We operate with both US and overseas warehouses, and shipping depends on stock + variant availability. But we understand why you assumed it was US-based from the branding, and that’s something we need to communicate more clearly upfront. Big picture: You liked the design and functionality, but the magnetic connection didn’t feel dependable enough for daily carry. That’s exactly the kind of feedback that helps us improve future versions. If you’d like, reach out to [email protected] — we may be able to help with a stronger magnetic alternative or updated version for your setup. And if we improve that part for you, we’d really appreciate you updating your experience later on. — Madison The Pixel Case Team

They are nice looking cases. They just don't charge wireless very well. I also bought one of their car wireless chargers. It's not bad either. Not great by any means. Let's just say everything is meh... Just meh.
Response from ThepixelcaseMay 8, 2026
Hi Laura, Honestly, this review is probably more valuable than an extreme 1-star or 5-star. “Meh” usually means one thing: Nothing completely failed… but nothing impressed enough either. And that’s fair. Looks/design → good Wireless charging → inconsistent Car charger → acceptable, but not standout That tells us the experience is landing in the middle instead of feeling premium or polished — especially on the charging side. Wireless charging is one of the hardest things to get perfectly right across Pixel models because: Coil placement varies Magnetic alignment matters a lot Heat + thickness affect performance But from your perspective, none of that matters if the end result is just “not great.” That’s exactly the area we’re improving right now: Stronger magnetic alignment Better thermal performance More reliable charging consistency across chargers and mounts Quick context: We’re building specifically for Pixel users because this ecosystem is underserved — but “good enough” isn’t the standard we want long term. So while we appreciate the honest review, we also take it as a push to make the next version genuinely impressive, not just acceptable. If you ever want to test an improved version in the future, reach out at [email protected] — happy to help. — Madison The Pixel Case Team

I like the look and feel of the Pixel 10 Pro case for the most part. It looks sharp, doesn't feel cheap, and latches in place promised. I didn't appreciate the magnetic description though. It magnetically holds the phone into the case, but it does not magnetically latch onto my "Magsafe" style car stand. Kinda defeats one of the reasons I purchased it to begin with. Because it ships from mainland China, I didn't want to return it because of the hassle. So this will sit in my desk drawer to take out every once in awhile to change up the look of my phone. And I'll try to talk myself into thinking it's not so bad, why did I stop using it, it's nice looking. And then I'll remember when I try to drive with it and I'll probably curse under my breath.
Response from ThepixelcaseMay 5, 2026
Hi Ken, You summed it up perfectly — looks good, feels good… but fails on the one use-case that mattered most to you. Let’s be clear on that: Magnetic wording → you’re right to call it out What you received is a case where the structure/mounting uses magnet elements, but it’s not a full MagSafe/Qi2-aligned case for car mounts. If the product page led you to expect it would snap onto your car stand, then that’s on us — that distinction needs to be clearer. Real-world outcome If you can’t rely on it while driving, then for you the case is effectively unusable — even if everything else is fine. Return friction Also fair. We operate with US and China warehouses, and returns depend on origin — but if that friction makes you keep something you don’t use, that’s a broken system from your perspective. Instead of letting it sit in a drawer: Email us at [email protected] with your order number — we’ll: Help you switch to a true magnetic-compatible model (car mount ready) if available Or offer a solution that actually makes sense so you’re not stuck with a “nice but useless” case Big picture: You didn’t buy this for aesthetics — you bought it for function while driving. If that part fails, the product fails for you. Simple. We’ll fix that. — Madison The Pixel Case Team

I really like the sleekness of the case. I have the Pixel Pro fold and I wasn't looking for it to have a bigger profile. This case does well in that regard . That said, I echo others comments that it took a long time to arrive from China. I love the kick stand! However the stylus doesn't come out of its spot. Finally, the major reason that I give this otherwise excellent case a less than stellar rating is that it is HIGHLY overpriced. I paid $50 for this, when I'm sure a handsome profit would have been realized at half that price.
