The Human Behind the Leader is more than a leadership journal—it’s an invitation to slow down, reflect, and remember that great leadership starts with the person behind the title. What made this especially meaningful for me is having the unique perspective of not only reading Amanda’s words, but also experiencing her leadership firsthand. The themes of self-awareness, empathy, accountability, authenticity, and creating space for people to be human aren’t simply concepts on these pages—they are principles I’ve seen reflected in how she leads. The journal creates space for honest reflection without making leadership feel like something that has to be perfected. Instead, it encourages you to understand yourself more deeply, recognize how your experiences influence the way you show up, and become more intentional about the impact you have on others. As I step into a new chapter of my own leadership journey, I appreciate having a resource that reminds me that growth isn’t only about becoming a stronger leader—it’s also about continuing to grow as a person. Thoughtful, authentic, and genuinely useful for anyone committed to leading people well.

This was such an on time experience. It was exactly that, an experience. As a leader who focuses heavily on growth I sometimes forget how it important it is to not only check the boxes off for what I’ve done that’s tangible but really self reflect. Reflect on my emotional capacity and what makes me, me! So happy to have this workbook! I plan to continue using it as I grow as a leader at work and at home
