After repeated request to release my final PI settlement funds, Atty Babak Hashemi refused to release my money even though my Chapter 13 is in effect and my BK atty had already explained how he will handle my liens. Atty Babak Hashemi charges more in retainer fees 40% plus 10% for expenses, like: tel calls, mail, shipping, miscellaneous fees, etc., more than other PI lawyers usually charge 33.33%. Watch out for his computation of expenses- mileage, stamps, delivery service, telephone calls, etc., ask for receipts not invoices, he added expenses not for my PI case - Rip Off.
