Hello Kariss, thank you for reaching out; it's a shame you have given us a 1-star review; I can see that the Customer Service team have been working hard to understand the science of the other test that you are comparing us to; however, you have refused to give this to us. We need to know this to ensure we are comparing 'apples for apples', if you will. Our Scientific Development Manager, Dr Enzo Fornari, has been asking these questions because we need to understand better what test was used on this other test for the diagnosis of your allergies. Our blood ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immuno-Sorbent Assay) test define only an intolerance/sensitivity as a specific IgG4 (IgG4-mediated) and an allergy as a specific IgE (IgE mediated) reaction. It is important to note that blood tests alone are not a substitute for seeing a doctor, particularly if you are feeling unwell. There are many different tests on the market that can be used to check food/environmental immunological and non-immunological reactions. The reason why we asked you about which test was used for your diagnosis is that we have scientific evidence showing that some tests must be used in combination to confirm or exclude allergic reactions. For example, it is well documented in the scientific literature that SPT (Skin Prick Test) normally overestimates allergies (around 50%), and a blood test is normally used in combination with that confirm or exclude an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, you only said that you had done a test in the hospital does not give us enough information to check or compare our results. Our test results show you a broad range of reactions; in fact, we are using an international WHO recognised measurement scale from 0.36 U/ml to >100 U/ml. Any reaction ≤0.35 U/ml will be reported on the test result as no reaction.
