I recently experienced a fault with my Tamron 70-180mm f/2.8 lens (Sony E-mount) where a guide mechanism inside the barrel broke while removing the lens hood. This is something I later discovered was a known issue. The lens was outside of its warranty period, but I reached out to Tamron Support (managed by Blonde Robot in Australia) to see what they could do. The repair team assessed the lens, confirmed it was a fault not caused by misuse, and repaired it at no cost to me, even though the warranty had expired. They sent it back quickly with no fuss, and it’s now working perfectly again. Australia has strong consumer protection laws which may have helped, but credit to Blonde Robot and Tamron for handling it so fairly and efficiently. I'm very happy with the outcome and feel confident buying more Tamron lenses in the future knowing they have good customer support.

I recently acquired the Tamron 35mm f/1.4 lens for my Canon 6D and the experience has been spectacular. I've never taken photos so sharp and beautiful; the image quality and bokeh are impressive. The robust build and ability to work in low light conditions without losing detail have pleasantly surprised me. I can't wait to buy my next Tamron lens, probably the 85mm, as I'm sure it will perfectly complement my current gear. Nacho Pérez vogg.cl

Amazing experience! Got my lens repaired and they even installed my after market focus gear. About some of these bad reviews: Tamron USA doesn't repair grey market lenses. As part of that if you want any forgien lens repaired you need to request a serial number check. Customer service helped me get that done as mine was a canadian purchase. It was quite easy, it did take extra time, but considering I got my lens for 1/2 price because it was a canadian display model I can't complain.
