Beware of this company I took my truck to get oil change in August and found oil in the drive way took truck back and they kept telling me it was residual oil come to find out after going there 3 times THEY FORGOT TO PUT OUL CAO BACK ON so the bought new one and won’t pay for oil clean up in my drive way or engine piss poor company

Went to add some oil at the San Jose Blvd Jacksonville, FL location which they offer. The oil was low right after the change I paid for. The female attendant never measured the dipstick to get an idea of how much. That was my first observation. She then poured in a full quart. I knew I didn’t need a quart. She showed me the dipstick as they do, and it was clearly way overfilled. I told her you never checked the dipstick first. She replied that for low oil they always add a quart. She then was annoyed as I told her it has to be between the dipstick marks and had to remove oil. She removed oil 3 times before I was shown dipstick with the proper level. Each time, she tried to convince me it was normal when it was still overfilled. Another employee then took over and handled it. Overfill of oil will damage and blow your engine quickly. Thankfully I was aware. Always check your dipstick right after an oil change by anybody but yourself. DO NOT trust these incompetent employees at Take 5 oil change. I will once again return to doing the oil changes myself. At a minimum, check the dipstick yourself. These Take 5 oil change places do not care. If your engine blows due to overfill, there is no way you can hold them responsible and they know that.

I thought I was at my old Grease Monkey with 2 coupons (oil and air filter), but the place was now a Take 5. I was treated like an idiot because I didn't know about staying in the car, etc. There is no waiting room, so they have a fan that blows in your window while you wait. It is Florida in the summer!!! I couldn't get a straight answer about pricing before I was already in. I needed an air filter so I said okay. They charged me $33 for it. They had a $25 special for the oil change at least. But would not accept Grease Monkey's $15 off an air filter. No way would I ever go back.

I called the customer service line to find out pricing before I drove an hour. “Cindy” transferred me to their franchise line (is that even a real thing?) and no one answered. When I called back and asked her about transparent pricing on the company website, she said there were too many services to price and it’s a franchise. “But it’s a company website, right?” She said she can either transfer me or hang up. Non-transparent pricing = something to hide. Also, “Cindy”, sorry you’re having a bad day, but it is actually your job to answer these questions. Yes, I was laughing about how ridiculous the whole thing was and she hung up. “Cindy”, I really do hope it was just a bad day and not your every day demeanor. Conclusion, don’t go to take 5.

What a joke. I called and asked for a quote on an oil change. Gave them my vehicle. They read back the type and amoint of oil I needed and said it was $93 but they could send me a $25 coupon through text making it about $67. Sure!! Get to Take 5 and its suddenly $139. WHAT?!?! Needless to say no thank you. Left. And because I am a curious person called the number again. Gave them the make and model. They told me my correct info and now its $112 BUT they can send me a $25 off coupon. This company is the biggest scam I have seen in some time. Its better to go to a dealership, which I will do.

I am new to Texas and went to the one on 290 toward Manor for a state emission inspection. The technician squeezed my radiator hose and told me I needed a radiator flush and my radiator was "bone dry". If not, my emission would sense the low coolant and fail. What a poor attempt at bullshit !! I went down the street to Valvoline, no coolant or emission problem there. Stay away from this company. They train the techs to scam and cheat customers.

Would not recommend! I have never paid over $100 for an oil change until about a week ago. I assure you it will never happen again. Still waiting for my receipt to see where I got screwed.

when getting an oil change they told me I could buy windshield wipers that would be guaranteed and that anytime I wanted I could come in and get a new set of windshield wipers. Well, it rained last night and the windshield wipers did not work very well so today I went by to get my new windshield wipers and sure enough they would not honor the warranty. I talked with the employees there and they told me they call the manager and he said the best they could do was sell me new wipers, of course I was not going to buy what Take Five was supposed to replace for free. There prices are somewhat high, but you do have to pay for convenience. Even with the military discount, it is 20 dollar more than what I had been paying at other places. However, after getting ripped off on the wipers I will never do business with them again.
