I went in to have my oil changed at the take 5 Oil Change Pl. in Russellville, Arkansas. I asked for the cheapest oil possible. I pointed to the sign that they had when I pulled up. They did not give me the cheapest oil possible they gave me synthetic oil and when I told him it was wrong, he said that I had to have synthetic oil Because my vehicle required it, which is a lie because I’ve always used regular oil. I thought I was going to be charged $49.99 for a regular oil change but I was charged $82.99 which I didn’t really have. He didn’t offer to make things right they were training a new technician and the technician didn’t even tell me about any of this. I asked if they would fill my tires and then I had to ask them again at the end because they didn’t it took me 40 minutes just to get my oil changed and it was wrong. I tried to call customer service and got put on hold for a really long time so I just gave up Piss poor customer service and I won’t be back! The bad part about it is he said that the sign was wrong and they didn’t even offer regular oil anymore and I said well why wasn’t I told that and why is the sign still up and he didn’t say anything. Grrrr

Never went here before, tried to go today, I was not waited on, and left. Luckily, I still had time on my lunch hour to go to Valvoline. I was out in 9 min and got back to work on time. They should call this place "TAKE AN HOUR" oil chang I'll never go back again they had 3 cars in 3 bays but only one guy changing oil Santabarbara, Cape Coral

First of all, had already talked to the shop manager who said they can’t do anything, and had already contacted headquarters which said district manager would call us back but has been more than a week that no one called back — I have always taken my cars to Valvoline up in NJ, visiting Texas and thought Take 5 was another version (maybe improved) of drive-thru oil change. But boy was I mistaken. Oil change was fine (I’m not so sure anymore), then was recommended a coolant exchange, they showed me a test that showed my coolant wasn’t in good shape. They took almost 5 hours (maybe that’s where “Take 5” comes from) and were never able to complete the work, told me I had a blown head gasket and sent me to the closest mechanic with leaking coolant all over. Long story short, there was never any issue, a mechanic checked and found nothing wrong. Brought them the paper work to prove that there was nothing wrong with the truck and asked for a refund, only to be told that they can’t do anything as that’s not their problem. I’m taking this matter to court and hopefully this review will keep more people away from this shop in Wills Point, TX

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are a rip off!!. I was over charged and they acknowledged but it's now been over 3 months and I still have not got my money back. The customer service is the worst ever. Use anyone but Take 5 for your oil changes.

I received the absolute WORST service at Take5 on Barker Cypress (Cypress, TX) today. The mechanic asked me to drive into the service area which I did and that was the only time he spoke to me. He left me sitting in the area for over 20 minutes while he serviced cars that came in after me. I would have appreciated if he would have said, “Ma’am, it’s going to be awhile is that okay with you?” as opposed to just leaving me sitting there. I was trying to do a good service to get an oil change for my mother-in-law's car and ended up leaving with barely a goodbye. That was my first and last visit to TakeOver20Minutes!!

On 10/21/2025 I went to have my oil changed as I have done for a few years. I never thought I should check under my 2004 Suburban to verify they did the job. This time I say them vacuuming oil out the dipstick on the car next to me. I ask the guy what are they doing? He told me and said it is easier that way. I know the dip stick tube does not go to the bottom of the pan, so they are leaving +-1 quart of old oil in the engine. This time after the change my truck had AC work done at another shop. 3 days later I did a large amount of engine and exhaust work 2.5 weeks down. While under my truck I noticed my oil filter was very dirty. Not only did they cheat me out of that +-1 quart of oil, they charged me for a filter they did not change and the +-1/2 of oil in it. I paid for 6 quarts but got 4.5 and my old dirty filter. I had the change to rear end oil because it was factory 22 year old oil. The pan was not removed. I figured they vacuumed that as well but the only plug to get to that oil has to be remove with a 1/2" rachet. There were no marks or cleaned areas where the rachet would have removed dirt. $99.99 for an oil change that did not happen. Never again will these con artist work on anything I own.

Hiring teens as managers that do not know how to take care of long time customers sadly He talked to me as if I was his employee and I’ve been going to that location for many many months long time now I will never go their again.

I went to take 5 #662 on 66th at and 38th ave N. Got my oil changed and they said my rear differential was low and wanted over 100.00 to flush and fill, being a big truck mechanic for 25 years I know the price and what it takes to drain a rear differential. I asked them to top it off and they said they don’t do that, I was willing to pay for the fluid and they said we can only flush and fill, I will never return. Dave Sizemore.
