Bait and Switch Tactics
One of the strangest experiences I’ve had with an online platform. I followed Swapalease’s website instructions to list my vehicle, only to receive a call encouraging me to upgrade my plan, which I dismissed as a sales pitch. When I later tried to modify my listing, customer service informed me that the option their own website directed me to use was only available to dealers and that I needed to purchase a $300 consumer plan. Why direct customers toward an option they cannot use in the first place? The entire process is misleading, convoluted, and unnecessarily frustrating. Customer service is virtually nonexistent unless they’re trying to sell you something. Save your money and list your vehicle on Craigslist instead. Just wow.
