Quick to take your money, No rush to refund you
Title: Quick to take your money, apparently no urgency to refund it I strongly recommend exercising caution when purchasing from Surfboards Etc., particularly if there’s any possibility you’ll need to return something. I ordered a Brixton shirt through Amazon on September 23, 2026, for $66.81. The item was returned and received by the seller more than a week ago. Yet I’m still waiting for my refund. Amazon customer service initially advised that the refund should be issued by October 11. Nothing happened. After multiple conversations with Amazon, I was informed that the seller had failed to process the refund within the expected timeframe. Amazon is now contacting Surfboards Etc. directly, providing another 48 hours to issue the refund, and escalating my complaint. What kind of customer service requires someone to repeatedly pursue a refund for merchandise the company already has back? Here’s a straightforward principle: If you’re efficient enough to collect my money, you should be equally efficient when you owe it back. I have no patience for businesses that make collecting payment effortless but turn refunds into a drawn-out process. I don’t care how busy you are. That’s a business-management issue, not something customers should have to tolerate. It’s $66.81, but the amount isn’t the point. It’s the principle of treating customers fairly, honoring refund obligations, and not forcing people to spend their time chasing money they’re owed. Based on my experience, Surfboards Etc. has demonstrated very poor refund handling and a serious lack of customer consideration.
