Marina Jack is a wonderful destination with a great location and exceptional staff. When we needed propeller repairs and other maintenance before continuing our trip to Orange Beach, Alabama, Manager Joe Catell went above and beyond to help us. The service contractors he recommended were excellent and completed everything on time.
Joe and his staff, including Dylan, were extremely helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Downtown Sarasota—with its excellent dining and shopping—is only a five-minute walk away.
We highly recommend Marina Jack as a boating destination. Thank you, Joe and Dylan, for taking such great care of us!

I would like to report an incident that…
I would like to report an incident that occurred on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Light House Point Marina in Toms River, NJ, where I have been a tenant for several years.
During the summer of 2025, we experienced ongoing issues with the boat moored next to us. They frequently used our dock for their personal use, including tables, chairs, and storage for their belongings, while their children caused damage to our deck box with their bikes. Despite this, we chose to remain silent. We did discuss these matters with the Manager at the time & the beginning of the 2026 season. On July 26, I stopped by the marina to water my plant after being away. Upon arrival, I found my dock obstructed by their by all their items. I politely asked the gentleman to move his belongings and requested that they refrain from using our dock for personal use. While he was initially understanding, His wife then approached me aggressively, shouting profanities in front of her young children and in the presence of several other marina guests. She was pacing up and down the dock, trying to involve the other guests while I was alone, as my husband was not present. While some bystanders remained silent, their shocked expressions clearly reflected their disapproval of her abusive language. At one point, her husband had to restrain her as she continued to advanced toward me several times.
She went as far as to say that I should "go kill myself" several time's and that she hoped I would drown in the marina and die & that I should also go get a new face. She yelled and hurled all sorts of insults name calling at me, using words so vulgar that I can't even bring myself to repeat them nor put them in writing.
She Went as far as using insults and vulgar language, even involving my adult children and husband that were not present. For the record, neither I nor any of my family members know her & her Family, and we haven't had any kind of conversation with them—just a polite wave! They mentioned multiple times that we are rarely there, but I explained that our absence doesn’t justify their disregard for our space, which we all pay for.
I felt threatened, harassed, scared and humiliated, especially with other guests present.
I am unsure of the next steps to take but felt it necessary to report this incident directly to Suntex Corporate Office, due to my concerns for my safety. We have always respected our neighbors and maintained a low profile at Light House Point Marina, so I am appalled that this situation escalated to such a level.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that we can find a solution! They have yet to address the issue and contact us as what the steps are! We have not been able to to use our boat since of fear! Suntex Marinas has a legal obligation to maintain safe premises and protect its slip owners. This is unacceptable!

Astroturf reeks of dog urine
Astroturf reeks of dog urine, Suntex does not allow astroturf BUT boat owners still have it bc rule is not enforced. Love the slip and like my neighbor very much but wd never cause conflict bc I don't want to move slips. Other day I left early bc it's hot and too putrid. Wish Suntex wd not put us in this position. The astroturf is on the main patio rt next to mine. Augh!

Lack of management/unprofessional staff
Suntex just purchased the marina where I've kept my boat for almost 20 years. Basically, the management has no idea what they are doing. They don't have adequate staffing and have hired unskilled labor. Despite repeated notices and conversations about arrangements to move my boat out of state, they have refused to provide access to my boat for transport and advised they can't, now do so until some undetermined time after Memorial Day.

Lake Country Marina, Eagle Mountain Lake, Fort Worth, Texas
Slip holder for about two years now. We have had Items over $200.00 stolen from our slip. Have complained to management about security of our dock, I dock. Their web-site lists "gated security and secure slips" as one of their sales bullets.
Paid out $300.00 for two (2) electronic gate cards when we rented the slip. Was not told about the many "master" key cards floating around that get who knows who access to our dock.
Now someone continues to open the gate and prop, or tie, it open. We have been to the boat many times and the "electronic security gate" is wide open and no slip owner is present, but there are unknown people on the boats.
Complaints to management and emails to the marina owners (Suntex) have no impact.
We are waiting patiently for a large slip to open up in one of the non-Suntex marinas to open.
