Review of Streamlinerz
Review of Streamlinerz: Mixed experience, would not use their placement service again I worked with Streamlinerz's founder to hire a virtual assistant for my software company. They introduced a candidate, I interviewed and hired him, and the placement came with a $600 referral fee. The hire did not work out within the first few weeks. He did not follow a direct instruction about who to contact, did not log his work in the tracking tools or spreadsheets I required, and I could not verify the work he said he completed. I declined the referral fee and told them why. To be fair, the founder was responsive and offered to help find a replacement. However, after I ended the placement, the conversation became about paying the VA's wages for work I could not verify. Streamlinerz then said they would not refer further candidates. They also said they don't manage the people they introduce, so the fee buys an introduction, not oversight or a guarantee. If you use a placement service like this, get the scope, reporting requirements and replacement terms in writing before you hire. Require time tracking from day one, and give new hires access only to what they need.
Response from StreamlinerzOct 8, 2026
We'd like to put forth our truth of what happened as well, Jason initially approached Streamlinerz for a consultation service, but ultimately declined the proposed service due to not having the budget and instead wanted to proceed with only a very limited portion of what the consultation covered. One of the things he requested was a Client Success Manager (CSM). We explicitly advised that, at his current stage, what his business actually needed was an SDR focused on sales and prospecting—not a CSM. He chose to proceed with a CSM anyway, and after we offered 1 candidate to interview he went with him and we advised to make this decision after making multiple interviews not just once but he refuses to take this into consideration. We referred a candidate to him and made it clear from the beginning that Jason would be responsible for the employee’s management, payment, tasks, and employment decisions. He explicitly requested that Streamlinerz not be involved in managing the employee. Despite this, the employee was terminated twice without prior notice. The first time happened shortly after starting, over a relatively minor incident. We specifically told Jason afterward that we needed to be involved in any future employment-related issues to prevent the same situation from happening again. Jason declined and chose to continue handling everything independently. He later resumed working with the same employee without informing us. During this period, the employee was also being given tasks outside the originally intended CSM role, including general VA duties and cold calling. The employee was then terminated again without prior notice, without an exit process, and, according to what was communicated to us afterward, without receiving his outstanding $200 payment. The employee had provided evidence of completed work, which we had also seen, but Jason disputed the work and handled the termination directly. When the resulting dispute occurred, Jason attempted to place responsibility on Streamlinerz, despite having repeatedly chosen to manage the employee independently and explicitly asking us not to be involved in employment decisions. We genuinely tried to help and repeatedly recommended a more structured approach, including proper hiring, interviewing multiple candidates, KPI management, and involving us when employment issues arose. Those recommendations were declined. We respect every client’s right to manage their business as they see fit, but it is not reasonable to make Streamlinerz responsible for employment decisions that the client explicitly chose to make independently.
