NO MORAL COMPASS. If I'm missing something, someone please chime in. Spartan Race for a good cause or bottom-line revenue? Lack of integrity, lack of understanding, lack of the GOLDEN rule. SHAME on the founders. What's your mission statement again? Genuinely curious... Hi Jason, Thank you for your email. I’m sorry this has added frustration at an already difficult time. My name is Mary, and I am a Supervisor within our Customer Experience Team. I want to explain why we’ve asked for this information, so that the next step is clear. Your application is based on your mother being too unwell for you to attend. Under our terms, whether we can move forward depends on which part of the medical wording applies. If the illness affects someone in your immediate household or an immediate family member, we may be able to consider it under the illness section. If it relates to a pre-existing condition, different rules apply, and that can affect whether the situation is eligible. That is why we need to confirm: whether you live with your mother, and whether this was a new condition or a worsening of an existing one. We also need a doctor’s note because the terms require medical evidence showing the condition, the relevant date, and that it prevented you from attending your event. Without that, I’m not able to complete the review fairly. So we can move this forward, please send: confirmation of whether you and your mother live at the same address confirmation of whether this was a new condition or a worsening of an existing one a doctor’s note confirming the condition, when it began or worsened, and that it prevented your attendance on 02/08/2026 I've attached the link to our terms and conditions below for ease of reference: As soon as I receive that, I’ll continue the review. LET'S SEE WHAT THEY RESPOND WITH... Thanks Mary. For the 5th time, I purchased the refundable option for an additional $25. This must be a joke. Please help me genuinely understand your logic. Concerned customer… SCREENSHOT OF RECEIPT FOR THE REFUNDABLE OPTION SELECTED FOR $25 ON TOP OF THE $175 FOR SOLO RACE TICKET (ATTACHED FOR YOUR REFERENCE). If there is a way to teach this better to a 3rd grader, I'd welcome your input. Joe De Sana - A FOUNDER OR A GREED-DRIVEN CON? (646) 479-9999 Call/text me if you have ANY integrity as "The Leader" of this mission. God bless you and your team...AND...LORD may have mercy on your soul. Sincerely, Concerned runner...

The 2026 Spartan at Snowbasin was one of the most poorly managed sporting events I have ever attended. I understand Spartan can't control record-breaking heat, but they absolutely can control how many registrations they sell and whether they are prepared for the crowds they create. From everything I witnessed, they were not. My husband and brother arrived around 8:00 a.m. and still spent over an hour driving the last 8 miles just to reach the parking lot. That should have been the first sign the event was dangerously overbooked. A few hours later I drove up with my five kids, four of whom were registered for the Kids Spartan. What should have been a short drive turned into nearly two hours. When we arrived, Spartan had only just started directing people to park along the sides of the road because every lot was overflowing. Families were pulling wagons, carrying backpacks, pushing strollers, hauling coolers, and walking uphill for miles in extreme heat just to get to the venue. I even saw a family trying to get a child in a wheelchair to the event. Many people who had arrived early still missed their start times. At check-in I watched a little girl who was supposed to run the Kids Spartan crying because she looked like she was going to throw up after walking such a long distance uphill in the heat. My sister-in-law was eventually told to park in a field in Huntsville, roughly nine miles away. If every parking lot at Snowbasin is full, cars are lined bumper-to-bumper for miles up the canyon, and you're filling farmers' fields miles away, you've grossly overbooked your event. At that point it feels like selling registrations became more important than providing a safe experience. It took my sister-in-law two hours on a shuttle bus with her four young children just to get up the mountain to watch her husband race, and Spartan charged spectators for that experience. The race itself wasn't much better. My husband and brother ran the Beast and were not allowed to refill their CamelBaks at aid stations. Instead, runners received tiny cups of water, about the size of an LDS sacrament cup, with no electrolytes available during record heat. On Sunday my brother returned to complete his Trifecta and said runners were being limited to two cups of water at aid stations, and some of the porta-potties at the top of the mountain had been locked. People were being pulled off the course because of the heat. I personally watched emergency responders transport a runner to a landing zone where they were airlifted by helicopter. My heart goes out to that runner and their family. For an event that costs this much, the finish line was equally disappointing. By the time my husband finished, the recovery snacks were gone. The volunteers also deserve credit. They were left trying to manage understandably frustrated racers and families despite having no control over the decisions that created this situation. This was by far the worst organized event I have experienced. After everything I witnessed, I left believing Spartan prioritized selling registrations over providing a safe, enjoyable event. Until major changes are made, I cannot recommend the Utah Spartan at Snowbasin.

They way oversold their tickets. I did the beast in utah 2026 today and it was a joke. Completely run terribly and all for profit. The tickets are ridiculous and they can't even provide electrolytes on a record heat wave. Completely unsafe. My wife and 4 kids had to park 4 miles away and wait an hr for a bus in 98 degree weather with all the 4 kids 6 yrs old and younger. They charge you for a parking fee but then make you walk miles just to get to your race. Absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful to it's racers. The entire hill was full of racers disappointed in Spartan.

Very misleading. Purchased a “doubles open” ticket as it was advertised being the equivalent of two singles tickets. Purchased one to find out you need one per person. So there’s no real savings or purpose of going for the doubles. Also why would you enter the doubles on your own?! Add many hidden costs that appear at checkout… service charge, facility fee and a processing fee. It’s a no from me. Currently in the ongoing struggle to get a refund because I refuse to let them have my money after being so misleading about it all

Absolute scam. My husband opted for the refundable option and due to unforseen circumstance can no longer attend the races. Customer service is no help, and the third-party system they use refused his refund request. This thing is expensive for no reason and an internal shit-show.

Absolutely horrible customer service, scamming you for money from every angle and refusing to give it back. The race was 9 miles when it was advertised as 6 miles. The obstacles were boring and easy other than the barbed wire on mile 7.5 on a "6 mile" course. This was a horrible experience, a waste of time, and a waste of money. I wouldnt recommend this to my worst enemy, simply because I dont want this company to make money.

Scam I went to buy 4 kids tickets and the website said processing error it then charged me double for 8 kids tickets instead of 4. They said they will not refund I feel like this is illegal!
