A very well organized tour package........Clara of SouthAmerica,Travel did a good job in arranging for our adventure of Peru. Flights, Pick up from airports and hotels and other transportation arrangements, clean and safe hotels with courteous staff and most of all the English speaking guides made our journey to Peru a smooth sailing one. Our visit to Macchu Picchu was the highlight of that journey and indeed the ruins were very beautiful. We were blessed with favorable weather while we were in Macchu Picchu and our 1st class accommodation in the train was a very memorable experience. I would like to commend SouthAmerica.Travel.com for a job well done.

Although we are experienced travelers, we still felt that there was an unexpected amount of traffic and many large groups of tourists. We were not alone in wanting to see the splendors of South America. Some locations and modes of travel had to be missed due to local conditions, public protests, and differences between general tour descriptions and local tour operator implementation of the tour packages. Hotels were all very clean, quality varied: some too elegant, some too .. All guides seemed to want additional tips. English was definitely a second tlanguage, usually available, but not always. Machu Picchu and Cuzso were definitely highlights.Santiago is just a very large, busy city. Buenos Aires is large, but easy to navigate and cabs are inexpensive and available

We did all preliminary arrangment on the web with an agent in Buenos Aires Izabela Zielinska. We were very satisfied with her handling of our requests. We are back from our Brazil/Argentina trip which included Manaus in Amazonia, Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, Buenos Aires and Ushuaia at the southern tip of South America. Overall we were pretty satisfied. Hotel arrangements were very good as well were hotel locations. We were met promptly at each of five airports by guides/drivers and all of them spoke pretty good English. On the other hand - local guides - they were not so good. Their English was limited, especially the one we got in Rio de Janeiro. Also in Rio we were waiting for over an hour and a half for ticket/train availability at the bottom station of Corcovado train. Also the bus driver who picked us up in Buenos Aires for the tango dinner/show had our last name so badly misspelled that if not for my curiosity, we wouldn't get to the show. Show itself was great. We had great day trip with Amazon Eco Adventures in Manaus. We strongly recommend it. In the Iguazu Falls we went to the both sides of the falls. They were impressive. In Ushuaia we took a morning tour to the National Park (guide was good ) and an afternoon catamaran trip to Penguins Island. Both were good.

It was a very good trip until someone ripped the gold necklace from my wife's neck only a few moments before we boarded the bus in front of our hotel.

Good trip but I only give 5 stars when I catch fish.

I was due to attend a medical congress in Buenos Aires and we had recently hosted a Brazilian exchange student who was eager that we visit her in Sao Paulo. We knew we had to go to Sao Paulo and we knew we wanted to see Rio de Janeiro, but as naturalists, we also wanted to see the Iguazu Falls and we had an idea of seeing some of the Amazon. We did not realise just what a huge country Brazil is and we also did not realise that air travel there is not as easy as in other parts of the world. I was "surfing the internet" seeking information about Brazil and Argentina and came across SouthAmerica.Travel and posted an enquiry. Within minutes I received a phone call from a woman with a Australian accent who listened to my requirements and within a few days, in conjunction with my wife, had come up with an itinerary that included Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, a few wonderful days in the Pantanal, a few days at Foz Iguacu and transfer to Buenos Aires and return flights to Cape Town. We only had one mishap when our guide to the falls on one day failed to arrive and we eventually paid a taxi driver to take us to the Argentinian side. Otherwise our flights, accommodation and transfers were seamless and comfortable. It was a really excellent trip!
