The university location for Sonny’s is amazing! Laura and the rest of the team there always gives amazing service, the portion size is great for the value. I can’t say enough good things about this location and the team that you have there. The Apopka location is a completely different story. Every time I go there I have had bad service. I will never set foot in the Apopka location ever again. It’s that bad! The waitresses just disappears. They just seem not to care at all at that location. I will drive across town to go to the university location near full sail. I’ve had a bad experience multiple times, but this one had to be the worst The waitress was not attentive. She would disappear for a long time and we didn’t have silverware on the table, we waited she wouldn’t come out, so I had to go to the take out counter and they gave us plastic wear so we could start eating, and when we placed our order we asked the waitress to bring out an extra plate for the cob salad. More waiting because she disappeared in the back, it wasn’t like she had a lot to do. There was only two other tables, besides us so it wasn’t busy, and I had to go up and find somebody so I could pay to leave so we’re waiting again. The servers at this location just does not care. I’ll give my overall experience for Sonny’s as a whole a four star, but the Apopka location zero stars!

Sonny’s was a very positive experience. The food was delicious, prepared quickly, and my order was neat and exactly right. The first time I did pickup, and the second time I had it delivered through Instacart — both times the food was impeccable and packaged perfectly. I was genuinely pleased, and I would recommend Sonny’s to anybody. Definitely the place to go for good barbecue.

My son and I had lunch today, 08-02-2025 at the HWY 441 Eustis, FL location, The dining room was clean, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious, and service was great. Thank you, Sonnys, for making our lunch a memorable experience.

Went Sonny’s BBQ in Clinton Mississippi. I am not exaggerating when I say, it took 15 minutes— in a nearly empty restaurant- for us to be seated. That was our first sign. We were traveling, and hungry, so we waited. Someone csme and finally seated us and then no one came to take our order. After another 20 minutes— I had to get up and tell a random server , no one came to take our order. So someone finally did. That was sign #2. The young server was gracious, apologized sincerely and treated us well. It took another 30 minutes to get our food. This was sign #3. Why did we stay? The smells of bbq were so tiltilating- and we saw other delicious looking orders come out, for other customers- we decided to wait it out. Well, the hash browns with crispy onions, sauce and cheese- was a terrible disappointment— no flavor, processed crispy onions and the bbq meat on top was just pork fat. The competition wings that we ordered were hard and tough- again, no flavor. The bbq burger— my husband said, .. “ was fit for the dog”, and my baby back ribs were burnt, hard and crystallized sauce on one side— totally disturbing! I mean no flavor at all- except that sauce. I’d never tasted rib meat that was that awful!! By then I was mad! I requested another order of ribs and 25 minutes later, I got them. The garlic toast and baked bean were delicious. And that’s what I ate. We irritably paid for out $68 + meal and quickly left. We told each other, we’d never again eat at another Sonny’s BBQ place. 😠

Logan my takeout server was a very nice young man and his customer service was extremely awesome!!! It was the store in Jacksonville, FL 32223 on San Jose Blvd.

Met by a miserable greeter at the Titusville restaurant who ignored my ‘hello’ asked ‘how many?’ I said ‘three please’ she walked away threw three menus on the table and walked away… just rude. But, luckily everyone else was nice and the food was ok but wouldn’t rush back especially with such a stinking attitude at the door.

I have been a loyal customer (and fan!) of Sonny's BBQ for years. They never cease to amaze me with their service, delicious food, and incredible prices. If you want an affordable treat for the whole family, you definitely need to give Sonny's a try. I highly recommend their Baby Back Ribs, Corn Fritters and Loaded Sweet Potatoes. Don't skip out on dessert either! They have incredible Cinnamon Donuts with cream cheese icing to dip and delectable Banana Pudding. I also love that they have a drive through for easy take-home orders!
