I haven't had the sonim XP pro 10 x800…
I haven't had the sonim XP pro 10 x800 whatever the model number is which is confusing on itself. So don't try to buy any of the docking stations for it, cause most won't fit and they're Certainly not universal. The push to talk, if not set up, which there's no real instructions how from the notice that pops up every time you look at the phone. Now the rugged part....this is the LEAST rugged phone on the market and one of the weakest phones in general. Not even a year into the phone and the receiving charging port loses its pins and can only charge it wirelessly and I tried several wireless chargers and the phone felt like it was borderline melting. The multiple 2 pin chargers that are supposed to work with sonim, none fit....so that was a wasted couple hundred dollars. Luckily they have a 3 year warranty ... Yeah, about that. The phone service will cover the first year but not screen damage, but that's wasn't my issue. They sent me a replacement phone with a screen protector on it and I just sent the old one back. Thinking I was ok cause screen protectors help, right? Dead wrong! It slid off my lap in the vehicle and didn't even fall a full 2 feet and landed on its face, with the screen protector on, it cracked right through it...shattered the screen. Well I have 2 months left on the first year still. But at&t won't cover that unless I have their overpriced insurance with a deductible higher than the phone. But sonim will replace it but I have to send it to them. Not just not offering me a device where I'm a first responder and they supposedly cater to first responders, but when I ask the tell me they don't have phone. Say wha?!?! Nice people but I'd be nice to if I couldn't follow through with anything but bare minimum. Don't ever buy a trash sonim phone unless you want more headaches than functioning equipment.
