Over a period of three months I had taken out about 10 payday loans. My son and new wife, and grandson were struggling while he was looking for work. I am a single mom and was doing everything to keep everyone afloat. To make ends meet while helping my kids move to another state for a good job, I went into the payday loan hole. There was no way I was going to get out on my own as the bi weekly fees would begin taking 40-50 percent of each check. The seriousness of this is not being able to keep up with rent and other normal bills. I have already been threatened this month with eviction because I was late. I contacted Solid ground and was directed to Alex. He put up with a pretty stressed out lady that was totally unenthusiastic about talking to them. Honestly, I felt this was probably just another friend of the loan sharks out to get money. Alex was patient and presented step by step what I needed to do to get out of this trap. YES they require a fee. AND THEY SHOULD. It’s not Up-front and they are doing what I can’t, stopping the financial hemorrhage of extreme charges so I can pay theses off.
