was sceptic but bought anyway. you can't melt solder under plastic! when you do there isn't enough of it to make a bond. tried 4 test samples in different ways and all failed. there is no crimping and they pulled apart easily.

Hi Kenetic Welding, sorry for the experience. Could you using our recommended heat setting? Minimum Shrink Temperature 80°C / 176°F Minimum Solder Melting Temperature 138°C / 280°F

After I finally received the order I tried it out and found that the heat shrink melts before the solder melts.

I bought a 50 piece kit just to try them, didnt work. I am a marine mechanic and solder wire all the time. the heat shrink melted fine but the solder would not. Bumped the heat gun to 800-1000 degrees, still wouldnt flow or melt, started melting the wire insulation,tried it two or three times, nope... tried to contact them to get my money back, support@solderstick is not a valid email.I hate stuff that doesnt work,wasted time and money. would love to know how they filmed the little video that shows the product working.

Hi Gary! Sorry to hear that it did not work for you. Be sure to use lower heat setting and rotate the wires so that the solder will melt before the insulation does.
