The ‘60-Day Guarantee’ Isn’t 60 Days After Delivery
My experience with SlimTide — Canadian buyers should read this first I purchased three SlimTide orders totaling US$1,014.20 and want to share my experience, particularly for other Canadian customers. The “60-day guarantee” is not 60 days from delivery. I was told the 60 days runs from the purchase date. My purchase was July 13, 2026, but I didn’t receive the products until July 27. The company’s stated deadline was September 11—meaning I actually had only 46 days from receiving the products to use the guarantee. For Canadian customers, there is another important consideration: returns must reach the company’s U.S. warehouse before the guarantee expires. Customer service told me international shipping could take 10–18 business days, which makes the deadline particularly concerning. There are also significant deductions. The company advised that its 20% restocking fee would be US$202.84 on my purchase, plus US$78 for the two opened bottles. I would also have to pay return shipping to the U.S. I was also surprised by a C$56 COD charge when I picked up my package at the post office. I was aware of a shipping charge, but I was not aware of this additional COD cost. The refund process was also disappointing. After communicating with customer service, I was offered a 40% refund of US$405.68, explicitly described in writing as 40% of my US$1,014.20 total purchase. I accepted that offer. However, the actual refund receipts totaled only US$368.80, a US$36.88 difference. I contacted the company about this. They acknowledged in writing that my acceptance was based on the US$405.68 figure, but explained that their payment system had calculated the refund differently and that the transaction was then closed. I asked them to provide the remaining US$36.88 as a goodwill adjustment, but they ultimately refused. I am sharing this review so potential customers—especially Canadian customers—understand the actual timeline, return requirements, potential fees, and refund process before purchasing. My advice: read the guarantee and return terms very carefully and don’t assume that “60 days” means 60 days after your product arrives.
