The wide variety and quality of plugins are well worth the price of admission. Installation of plugins for my Pro Tools system was seamless, and the relationship with SSL is a key component.

I'm a music producer and mix engineer that has been using the Slate All Access since 2019 and I couldn't be happier. The VMR system is extremely powerful and flexible, and I use it on every project I work on. The amount of new plugins and additions over the years have been mind blowing. The company really seems to listen to their customers when it comes to new products and updates to existing software.

Appreciate you Luke! Love hearing VMR’s a staple in your setup. We’ve got more on the way, and it means a lot to have you in the mix.

Thanks for the love, Ariel. We put a lot of care into those presets, especially for folks who want to move fast without getting stuck in the technical weeds. Glad they’re helping you dial in the vibe!

The plugins are awesome, unique and powerful. The only thing that could be better is the usage in other computers with the same account...
Response from Slate DigitalMar 31, 2025
Thanks for the honest feedback, André. Glad to hear you're digging the plugins! Totally hear you on the multi-computer setup—we know that flexibility matters and we’re always looking at ways to improve the experience. Also, we've updated our software to have machine based activation! Update the app and you should see the changes reflected.

I signed up for the subscription long before SSL purchased Slate. I loved the plugins then and love the product even more now that SSL is also included. I have used and subscribed to other brands and ended up coming back to the SSL/Slate combo. Mainly because the plugins, especially the VMR are simple and they work.

I'm using them since years all the time as a musician and producer. they sound absolutely brilliant and I wouldn't want to have to produce music without them. I also find that the yearly subscription fee is totally fair. if I can criticise something it's this: I had the VRS8 interface, then changed to a new M2 mac. and now the VRS8 is setting dust and I had to buy another interface. I got really angry when support told me that they can't do anything about this...such a shame...;-((

Appreciate you sticking with us and for the kind words—it means a lot to hear how much the tools have become part of your process. Totally understand the frustration with the VRS8 situation. We know it's tough when gear you've invested in no longer fits into your updated setup. We're always aiming to support our community the best we can, even when hardware limitations get in the way. Your feedback's heard, and we’ll keep pushing to do better.
