SketchprofsReviews of sketchprofs.com

Do not use this self-publishing company unless you don’t mine being scammed and lied to. In 2021 I received a phone call from a Self-publishing company called, SketchProfs. After going over the details of publishing my children’s book called, The Dirty Dumplings, I consented to start the process. They gave me no contract, but told me if I wasn’t satisfied all would be terminated and my money reimbursed or credited. I provided everything for them even the ISBN numbers and sketches. They sold me the publishing package for $900. A year later they sold me an upsell for $350 for Audible books. Then they told me that I needed a website because I could sell my 8 children’s books faster and make a lot of profit. That was another $350. They never told me that $700 would be needed for Hosting the website. After many phone conversations, I was told that my book would not be published until I paid this additional fee for the website. My children’s book had nothing to do with this. Once again, No Contract! Every time I asked about the date of the publication, they would assign me another project manager and I would have to start over again. This was frustrating for a senior citizen. I went through 4 project managers who did nothing but refer me to another individual. After the horrible illustrations were somewhat complete, they sent them to me for approval. There were many mistakes including the title on the front cover which was so small and had a strange font. There was no text on the pages. To make matters worse, this was a book about African Americans, but all of the characters they sent me were Caucasians. I told them what I wanted before they started. They said I had to pay the $700 for the website and the corrections fees. From that point on, it became total harassment! When asking for reimbursement that they promised me, they took down all the corresponding text of 3 years. Then they said, “PROVE IT!” In many of the text they said I would be credited or reimbursed, but every word was deleted and many lies were told. When I ask why all 4 project managers texts were gone: Aaron Cecil, Travis Johnson, Shawn Wilson, Orion Winters and the Chat man. I WAS TOLD NOT TO CALL THEIR COMPANY ANYMORE! $1,600 down the drain! No Children’s book, no Audio books, no website. All were abandoned! After writing 7 books over the years, I never knew that I would fall into the hands of the Sketchprofs scammers. From 2021-2025, it’s been a nightmare!

I was dealing with a company called Sketch Profs and the supposed CEO Alan Murphy and so called finance director/compliance officer Patrick Williams from Sketch Profs. I responded to a website search for children's book illustrators. Sketch Profs sold me many contracts to create many different projects for me such as a language app, a games app. They only sent me a demonstration of what the apps would look like on a cell phone, but they never actually loaded any games or languages onto a real app. They charged me thousands of dollars for this and then thousands more to hire extra staff to complete my projects, yet they never did. They sold me a turnkey art in frames business that was supposed to be an intact business that was completely ready to be activated in 48-72 hours. One year later, it still has not been activated. They sold me a publishing package, a marketing package, copyright registrations, trademark registrations, and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Artwork Registration and Notarization. They provided me with none of this. They are refusing to complete my projects. They gave me a fake receipt from WIPO, pretending they established a WIPO account for me with the funds they charged me. I sent the receipt to WIPO, and they said the document was unrelated to WIPO. They charged me $11,860 for this fake WIPO and refused to issue the refund. They were even trying to collect sales tax from me on the Fake WIPO charges and other charges many months to a year after the transactions were made when they never mentioned tax when they negotiated the price of the contract or the vice president of the company waived my responsibility to pay the tax if I paid them for another contract. They tried to extort the fake tax money from me by saying they won't give me any of my projects until I paid the then rescinded their waiver and demanded more tax money from me. They did not complete the children's book project they were paid to do. They submitted lies to the credit card company and submitted fake documents to the credit card company in an effort to reverse chargebacks. They may get away with a lot of money, over $100,000.00, just from me alone, and I was told by someone who claimed to be investigating Sketch Profs that they do the same to many customers. They sold me many other projects and provided me with no complete project. They did have many illustrations made but the project was abandoned by Sketch Profs in the middle of the project as it was not completed to specifications. They did not create book covers for the illustrations that reflected the style and character to the books. They did not complete the revisions or translate the books as agreed to. They did not make the audiobook, they did not copyright the books, publish the books, market the books, set up the website, dashboard, ISBN number, Dunns Number, Trademark etc etc. My Project ID number is 82851 and 82868. They know who I am. I have dealt with them since 12/20/21. This was one of the worst mistakes of my life. It was very unfortunate for me that I ever landed on their website and fell victim to their sales promises that were never kept. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, NYS Attorney General's Office, Consumer Affairs many scam alerts. They ignore all my complaints. They list a closed post office address on their website so they can not be sued. They are professional scammers but they don't want to admit it. They may complete some work for some people; however, for my project, they sold me more than they were able to do. They did not work on many of my projects at all. They wrote down most of what they promised; however, at times, they didnt even put it on letterhead and did not send it as a contract that both parties signed. They signed a binding contract agreement indicating they would voluntarily refund all the charges if the project were not completed by the due date, yet they did not do so. They scammed me out of $100,000 from 1/20/21 to 04/25/23. I won chargebacks from Citi Mastercard, but I will have to sue Chase Visa to get them to implement the chargebacks since they said the charge was old, yet Citi Mastercard approved older chargebacks. I am very disappointed in Chase Visa for not protecting me when Citi Mastercard did. I have to now jump through hoops to try to get my money back. This is a crying shame. They are the worst company I ever dealt with in my life. I paid them to create a nice business for me so I can work from home during my retirement. They stole my life savings from me. I was a fool to trust them. Their Better Business Bureau score is F. They use other merchant names such as Creative Company, ArtNArtStudio.com ArtNArtIllustrations. None of these companies or Sketch Profs has paid me back or completed any of my projects.

I'm giving Sketchprofs 4 stars because I received exactly what I had requested. After some initial onboarding hiccups, Linda, my project manager was very responsive and went out of her way to make sure I was happy with the process and the final artwork.

Nice design delivered by them totally as per the requirement. Thanks alot to Sam for guiding and making so much easy for me.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! SCAM!! Whatever you do, do not use this company!!!! It is a SCAM. 1.) The company was created in 2020, not 2010 like the website claims. All this takes is a simple search to see when they started posting on Instagram... 2.) I would guarantee ALL of the 4+ star reviews on this site are fake. All it takes is creating fake email accounts and writing positive reviews to drown out the negative ones. There are others who have posted about this site being a scam. After they see this, I bet they'll post more 5 star reviews to try to drown this out. Notice that most of the positive reviews are in broken English too... 3.) I bet someone from the "company" will comment here asking for my order number. I don't want assistance. You do not genuinely want to help me. Don't even bother commenting because your words mean nothing to me. I was told soooo many empty promises by the people that work here. Posting this anonymously because I don't want anyone at the company to reach out to me. 4.) I'm pretty sure logogenies.com and aspirelogodesign.com are connected with Sketchprofs as well. I know this because I looked up the email addresses of some of the people that replied to me supposedly as employees of Sketchprofs and it said they were from these companies. I WOULD RECOMMEND NOT USING THESE COMPANIES EITHER. I tried to call them out but they ghosted me. 5.) The website says money back guarantee... they will not give you your money back. Period. If you want to make amends, then ACTUALLY give me my money back!!!! Here is the timeline of my experience: - Placed my order in early 2021. At first, it felt like they knew what they were doing and I was given a "project manager" - Received some sketches within a couple of weeks but the first BIG RED FLAG was that my "project manager" kept wanting to speak with me about something on the phone. Keep in mind we had hardly started on the project. He proceeded to try to upsell me on a website. A website for my project that we've hardly started? Not appropriate timing. This was unfortunately not the last time they tried to upsell me on another service. It happened many times after this. - I wanted to be done with the project by the end of March. I had to constantly text/email/message on the website to get any sort of response. - I finally did receive some of the deliverables but I'm done with this company and am so exhausted by the whole process. It's been nearly 6 months. I want nothing to do with them. It's just so unfortunate because I genuinely feel like they stole so much of my money and never fulfilled their promises. I don't even know if they really have any legit designers/illustrators. The work they provided was pretty pathetic and not at all what I had imagined. They stole money I couldn't afford to lose and so much time I couldn't afford to spend. I have felt so heartbroken. MY RECOMMENDATION INSTEAD OF SKETCHPROFS - USE FIVERR!!!! It's a very legitimate website and that's where I've found the people I'm working with. They've been giving me updates daily and making revisions within hours. I've experienced amazing service. The people have trustworthy reviews, are often WAY cheaper, and so much more talented!!!! Sketchprofs is literally just a nice looking website and a team of sales people that are trying to take your money! Do not use them. UPDATE AFTER THEIR RESPONSE: I TRIED GETTING HELP FROM YOUR TEAM SO MANY TIMES. If you had genuinely good quality service and cared about your customers, you would have given me the attention and provided me with that service privately. I shouldn't have had to write a bad review to get your attention or a response. It's ridiculous that your team is so quick to publicly respond to me but then so slow to respond to my requests and questions as a customer. ADDITIONAL UPDATE: FOR SOME REASON THE COMPANY HAD THIS REMOVED SO I AM REPOSTING IT... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This company is a complete SCAM. Stay far away. 1. They claim to be around for 10+ years but their domain was created in 2020 2. All of their social media websites were created in 2020 too 3. These reviews below are not from real people. 4. There are no employees on LinkedIn listed for the company, and the reviewers here can't be found. I inquired about a project (through Zen Desk on the website), and met with "Alex Grey" on Zoom, and discussed it. We agreed on $1200. He sent me a payment link, and I paid. The payment says that it is managed by Stripe, but I DID NOT receive a receipt. I started to feel like something was off and that's when I realized that this fake company began in 2020. Alex said he sent me a receipt - an email arrived in my Outlook, and then it disappeared immediately (my IT team has protection). I went online to ask for a refund and Alex Grey tried to convince me to initiate the project, and I refused and asked for a refund. He told me that I would get it, and I didn't. Then he makes up an excuse that I can't get a refund because I got a discount (?) on the project. The length that scammers will go to is disgusting. Stay far away. THE RESPONSE BELOW MEANS NOTHING, AND I SENT THE FAKE ORDER NUMBER THAT I RECEIVED SPROF-82759 BACK. I RECEIVED A MESSAGE THAT I CAN'T GET A REFUND EVEN THOUGH WORK HAS NOT BEGUN.

Complete scam. Paid $2000 to get children's book illustrated. They didn't send anything, kept delaying, weeks passed, finally told me they would refund me. Spent next 2 months with them giving me run around - we are refunding, will take another 3-5 days, next week, must get another approval, next week, will call you back tomorrow, manager will call you later, etc. They had no intention of returning money or contacting me and were hoping time ran out before I could submit claim. Luckily, bank was able to step in. Update: Only message from them was nonsense they wrote on TrustPilot and then they didn't reply again. Finally, got someone on phone and they said, fine, another 45 days to refund CC.
