Sintra Mortgage CONSUMER BEWARE
Received an unsolicited text then a call from a Sintra Mortgage loan officer (LO). LO stated Sintra was a wholesale part of a mortgage company I had used a few months ago. Checked with my mortgage company and Sintra uses my primary mortgage company to generate leads for refinancing. The LO stated he could drop my loan rate by 3 or so %. So, I provided my SSN and requested the agent to only pull a soft copy of my credit report. I immediately started receiving notices that someone had pulled a hard copy of my credit report. I tried to dispute the hard pull with Equifax to no avail. When the LO finished his refinancing calculations, closing costs would have been triple what I paid for my loan just a few months ago. Agent kept trying to justify the high closing costs. IMHO this is a predatory loan company that misrepresents themselves and charges significantly higher closing costs. If you are contacted by this company do not share any information.
