Signal has now become my favorite encrypted messaging app for its simplicity and directness without all the annoying, over-the-top, and ultimately futile features that other encrypted messaging apps (e.g., Telegram and WhatsApp) has. Even though I only communicate with three people on the app, I grew fond of their service and have started donating whenever I can.

Signal seit der fehlerbehebung und dem stabilisieren der server verbindung ist eine tolle app mit verschluesselung, ich benutzes seit der verbesserung als haupt app und bin soweit ganz zufrieden , leider jedoch ist es unter den leuten noch nicht so bekannt weshalb ich noch telegram nutze , fuer die leute die lieber auf whatsapp rumhaengen gibts noch sms denn whatsapp kommt bei mir niemehr aufs geraet wer sich dem risiko daher freiwillig aufopfert sich mit whatsapp weiter auszutauschen wird frueher oder spaeter wohl andere probleme bekommen und im nachhinein vor die nase gestossen werden xD Fazit: Gute App mit Gutem Vorsatz , zuverlaesslich einfach und sicher. was will man mehr? Gratulation an die entwickler fuer die behebungen.

Super App. Es funktioniert alles sehr gut. Gibt auch eine Desktopapp die auch einwandfrei funktioniert.

Having an open source code which was audited already by multiple entities and professional people that work in this domain gives you the security that a message delivered will be read by the person intended only.

Die beste WA-Alternative. Signal ist mittlerweile ziemlich nutzerfreundlich und sieht schön aus. Auch die Nutzerbasis ist deutlich gewachsen, den Großteil meiner wichtigen Kontakte erreiche ich hier schon. Für den Rest ist der Wechsel auch nicht schwierig, da einfach einzurichten und sehr intuitiv zu benutzen. Zwar kann ich nicht beurteilen, wie sicher der Messenger ist, von diversen Experten und Aktivisten wird er aber empfohlen. Daher vertraue ich in die Sicherheit - schlimmer als die grüne Konklurrenz wird er kaum sein. Erfrischende Abwechslung ist außerdem, dass er von einer unabhängigen Stiftung entwickelt und durch Spenden finanziert wird. Ich bin zufrieden und kann nur sagen: Use Signal!

It's got some catching up to do, but I'm already very, very happy with the service. Cross-platform application with audio+video call support, the open source software with strong end-to-end encryption and Signal protocol, and surprisingly good audio/video call quality for a company that runs on donations. The UX could be better, but a designer could tell that it's built for accessibility and not for aesthetics. That doesn't mean the UI couldn't be more pleasing. Signal is still my preferred app, and will remain so, but I hope they keep improving the UI alongside other features. While Signal still has ways to go, I'm very confident in their ability to build on top of their already excellent product. Having said that, I'd appreciate an Apple Watch app though. :D
