Disappointing customer service
The Back9 is an interesting idea, particularly for golfers who travel by bike or public transport. Unfortunately, my experience with both the product and Side Street was disappointing. The bag arrived with a missing metal clip on the backpack strap. After trying it, I found the weight distribution when carried on one shoulder poor: the bag rotated while walking and the clubs tended to fall out. The shaft hub also pressed uncomfortably against my mid-back when carrying it as a stand bag on the course. The return process was the bigger disappointment. My return request by email went unanswered, so I had to repeatedly chase the company via Instagram. Communication was slow and fragmented, and I had to resend information several times. I ultimately paid €25.93 to return the bag to Ireland myself. The purchase price was eventually refunded, but my request to reimburse the return postage — particularly given that the bag had arrived incomplete — was ignored. The concept is clever. Unfortunately, the execution and after-sales service did not match the promise. I would recommend prospective buyers consider this carefully before purchasing.
