Working with Shemmassian Academic Consulting was the best decision that I ever made as parents to help my children for the college admissions process. Dr. Shemmassian and Anthony provided the best guidance and support. They were ready to answer questions any time whether it was giving feedback for essays, the application, or general things that related to the admissions process. They helped my son explore his life experiences and came up with a highly personal and self-reflective essay topic. They gave him advice on how to approach writing his essays and the feedback was always received in a timely manner. They were always available to answer our questions. As a result, my son was accepted into his first choice school. I truly appreciated the guidance and support from Dr. Shemmassian and Anthony for my son. We also just had an initial consultation with Dr. Shemmassian for my daughter, who will be graduating from college, about the directions and paths that she should take for higher education programs. I utilized 90 minutes of Interview Coaching with Dr. Wang, and he was really incredible in giving me constructive feedback, while simultaneously giving me confidence in my abilities to shine in any interview. I especially liked how he threw different scenarios at me that could come up in med school interviews. Since my session with Dr. Wang, I have gotten into 8 of the 9 schools that I interviewed with and have heard back from, including a Top 5 medical school in the country. I'd recommend Shemmassian Consulting to anyone looking to take their school/job applications to the next level. I used Shemmassian Consulting for my medical school applications because although I had strong test scores, my gpa made me a borderline candidate. Shirag worked with me to build a custom plan that allowed me to get all the help I needed at a reasonable budget. After the initial consultations, I was paired with Dr. Joseph Lee for help developing my school list, editing my personal statement, etc. Dr. Lee was very knowledgable about how to frame my experiences in the best light, and was careful to explain precisely what admissions committees are looking for. He was always prompt to return edits and was willing to schedule phone calls when I had additional questions. It was a pleasure to work with him and I have no doubt his contributions and insights helped me have a successful application cycle.
