This year, applying to medical school has been a difficult challenge, and I am grateful that I had the support and guidance of Dr. Shemmassian and his professional team. At the very start, Dr. Shemmassian connected me with Katie, a consultant who attended the same undergrad as me. In addition to being a great person to work with, Katie has also helped me so much with crafting my application strategy, essays, and interview preparation. I am especially impressed by how she helped me tell my story compellingly in my PS and secondary essays. I am so glad that I decided to work with Shemmassian Academic Consulting throughout my medical school application process! When I was looking for support, I read glowing reviews about the service that other applicants received, and I can confirm that I had a wonderful experience that was well worth the money. I was paired with Elisa, a fantastic consultant who supported me every step of the way and helped me express my voice in my essays. From the personal statement to the secondaries, I appreciated the quick turnaround and extremely thorough editing that Elisa provided me. Working with her helped me stay on top of secondary essays which were much less overwhelming with her feedback. The mock interview prep sessions helped me feel so comfortable on interview day for both traditional and MMI-style interviews. Additionally, navigating the medical school application process is extremely stressful and I felt so much better knowing that I wasn’t alone! I received 9 MD interview invites and four acceptances! I was ultimately accepted to my top choice and will be attending the Wake Forest School of Medicine! We went thru Dr. Shemmassian's service for our high school daughter. As a family, we had so little knowledge about college preparation and the right schools our daughter could apply to. Dr. Shemmassian's team was amazing. They assigned a counseller (a medical doctor) to help my daughter from the get go. The counseller was so proactive. She used to give a plan to our daughter and follow up regularly on her progress weekly or every other week. The counseller helped with college selection criteria, essay prep and finally the interviews. She was a driving force for our daughter. Also when we had some larger conceptual questions, Dr. Shemmassian was always willing to jump in and help as well. Our daughter applied to about 17schools, all mid-tier to some higher level end schools as well. She was able to secure admission to at least 10scholls and the best thing was she was able to secure admission at her top pick (UIC, Chicago GPPA medical program). I am so grateful to everyone at Shemmassian Consulting who helped me through the med school application process, especially my admissions consultant, Dr. Kevin Nguyen. Throughout developing my PS, narrowing down my most meaningful work and activities, writing and editing my secondary essays, Dr. Nguyen was able to provide excellent feedback and support to help my application. His suggestions for improvement were always thoughtful and certainly strengthened my submissions. Moreover, he was able to guide me through next steps while waiting for interview invitations and then prepping for them. I was in constant communication with my admissions consultant, received meaningful feedback on my application components in a timely manner, and had essentially unlimited support from when I started my application to when I accepted my offer of admission. As a Canadian and first-time applicant, this was extremely beneficial for me as someone who was unfamiliar with applying to US medical schools. The entire process is high-stakes, and also quite long, and therefore can be very stressful. Having the team at Shemassian there to support you throughout the ordeal is invaluable, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone wanting to make the most out of their application cycle. I am very excited to start medical school this fall and I thank Dr. Nguyen, Dr. Shemassian, and Dr. Obioha for all their help in getting me to this point.

I honestly didn't do a lot of research - their free resources were so helpful that I figured the people behind their content had to be equally exceptional. And I'm happy to say that I was right! From start to finish, my advisor (Tony) was there to answer any and every question I had, whether mundane or complex.
