I know Shanthi as a dear friend but as a yoga-Guru, she took me to a world where there is expansion of thought..because true YogaH is expanding your understanding and horizon and connecting to the cosmic energy..and being one with the universe....
I being a Yogic teacher had limited understanding of what YogaH means...Asanam and PranayamaH were what I was taught as YogaH.
Discussions with Shanthi made me question my limited perspective;and once the questions were answered during our long conversations, there was a feeling of joy, and true YogaH(Oneness with the universe) happened....
Previously, I used to feel agitated, and I suffered from self doubt in challenging situations...lack of clarity and dilemma while taking any step.
The new understanding from Shanthi has made me a better version of myself; the way I look at everyday situations..challenging or otherwise has changed. Every moment accepted with grace and positivity ...I am confident about my inner strength now.

My Testimonial regarding my Session with Shanthi
My Session with Shanthi: Returning to Peace, Joy, and Love
Before my session with Shanthi, I was feeling deeply sad and doubting myself. I was questioning my parenting and struggling with limiting beliefs, emotional triggers, and a need for control. Despite years of personal growth and development, I still felt caught in patterns I couldn’t seem to shift.
Through our conversation, I recognized that I had been approaching myself as someone who needed fixing. I was living in the belief that if I took the right steps, changed enough, or did more, then I could finally feel peaceful and have better relationships with my daughter, my husband, and myself. I had been making peace something I needed to achieve.
Shanthi’s deep listening and the wisdom she shared, including teachings passed down from her father, helped me reconnect with a different understanding: peace, joy, and love are already within me. I can recognize myself as whole and complete while continuing to grow.
Our conversation brought me back to the power of simply being. Taking a breath. Becoming present. Remembering: “I am peaceful. I am joyful. I am love.” Circumstances will continue to happen, but I can practice meeting them from that place within myself.
One of my biggest takeaways was the opportunity to move from an automatic reaction to a conscious response rooted in peace, compassion, and grace. Caring for myself in this way is an essential part of how I show up for the people I love.
We also talked about simple reminders, like placing sticky notes on my mirror to help me pause, breathe deeply, and reconnect with myself. When my mind is caught in the past or racing ahead to what needs to be done, I can ask: “What is actually happening in front of me right now?”
By the end of our session, I felt lighter. I felt more love, compassion, and grace toward myself. Much of what we discussed was familiar, but having someone hold space for me and reflect it back helped me reconnect with what I already knew. It reminded me of the power of community and having a supportive partner who helps bring us back to ourselves.
More than a week later, those reminders are still with me. I’m making room for quiet and noticing the signals that I need a pause: changes in my body, my tone of voice, or shallow breathing. Instead of judging myself, I can say, “I need a minute,” take a breath, and give myself space to respond with greater awareness.
I’m practicing stepping out of the constant cycle of going, doing, and striving. As I reconnect with my best self, I create more room for others to do the same.
The reminder I’m carrying forward is this: I can return to peace, joy, and love now—one breath, one pause, and one compassionate response at a time.

Rishi Yogic science
Thank you Shanthi for introducing me to the Rishi yogic science, an ancient and authentic form of yoga, through your free workshop.
It made me realize that yoga is much more than just asanas and meditation.Shanthi made me realize that our true self is being happy all the time. But unfortunately due to many reasons, we deviate from that state of being happy, and remain in a state of stress most of the time. Shanthi made me aware, that this need not be so, and we can return back to our true self(state of happiness), and can have a steady state of mind, that is not easily shaken by external events, and remain in that state for a longer time by making simple lifestyle changes like breath awareness, dietary changes etc.
Response from Shanthi YoginiMay 22, 2026
Thank you so much Pushpa for your heartfelt words and for taking the time to share your experience.
It brings me great joy to know that the workshop introduced you to the deeper wisdom of authentic Rishi Yogic Science beyond just Asanams and meditation.
What you beautifully understood is the essence of the teaching — that happiness is not something we need to chase outside ourselves, but our natural state that gets covered by disturbance.
And yes, through simple yet conscious Yogic lifestyle shifts, we can gradually return to that steadiness and inner happiness that already exists within us.
I truly appreciate your openness to learning and reflection. Wishing you a beautiful journey back to your Inner Home, one conscious step at a time.
With Infinite love and gratitude,
Shanthi Yogini

Yogini Shanthi is an authentic yoga…
Yogini Shanthi is an authentic yoga teacher and provides detailed structured understanding of yoga. Before the classes with her, my understanding of yoga was limited to thinking of it as a form of slow body exercise. But after the class, my perspective of it widened to see it as a way of life and much beyond exercise.
She takes personal care and attention in ensuring the student is following the lesson. After learning from her, even after several years, I remember the lessons.. the philosophy and the breathing techniques.
She uses a gentle technique to teach and the importance of listening to your own body. She does not follow any trending or adapted yoga but only the true yoga passed on from ancient Indian heritage. If you are looking for that kind of knowledge, not a quick burn out, it is an ideal place to learn from

Powerfully Life-Affirming
Before I met Shanthi, I didn't think I liked yoga, because my only experience with it was with Western teachers and the whole culture that surrounds that. I felt discouraged and wondered if there was something wrong with me because I couldn't enjoy the classes I was taking. Shanthi opened my eyes to a whole new dimension of what the yogic practice and lifestyle are really about, which has ultimately led to a massive life shift.
Her asana class was the only "yoga" class I'd ever taken where I actually felt calm, and it led me to continue learning from her in deeper ways. I am grateful that Shanthi has shared many elements of her culture with me, and this has offered so much perspective on how I can connect with my own roots and live more authentically.
I believe leadership is about authenticity, first and foremost. Being proud of where you came from and making your cultural practices an honest expression of humanity - and when educating the community about others' cultural practices, doing it in an honest way that lifts up the communities of that culture. Seeing Shanthi's pride in her cultural heritage inspires me to better know myself for who I am and I also strive to help others do the same.
In a world where so much is commodified and compromised, Shanthi has sparked invigoration and inspiration into my life. Knowing her has led me to be more and more open over the years to facing reality and living my life in line with my true values.

"Transformative Yoga Wisdom: Embracing Authenticity and Connection"
Dear Shanthi,
I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the enlightening and transformative session we had today. You have truly opened my eyes to the essence of yoga and its profound significance. Thank you so much for your time and the valuable insights you shared.
First and foremost, I appreciate how you emphasized the authentic meaning of yoga. In a world filled with various trendy and marketed forms of yoga, I now understand that yoga itself embodies a holistic approach to healing. The real essence of yoga doesn't require any embellishments or fancy adjectives like "mindful yoga" or "Iyengar yoga." It is a powerful practice rooted in our ancient shastras, holding immense potential for personal growth and well-being.
The history you shared about yoga has left a lasting impact on me. Learning about its origins and how it has evolved over the centuries has given me a newfound appreciation for the depth and wisdom it holds. I now understand that yoga is not merely a physical exercise or a passing trend; it is a timeless path towards harmony and self-discovery.
Another crucial lesson I learned from you is about the true meaning of coaching. Until now, I believed that regularly providing information was sufficient to serve my participants and viewers. However, you've shown me that true service lies in creating the right platform for them to take action and implement the knowledge shared. This eye-opening realization has inspired me to shift my perspective and become a more effective guide and facilitator on their journey of growth.
The simplicity you emphasized during our conversation has been particularly striking. Observing one's posture and making simple adjustments can create profound shifts in one's life. This principle applies not only to yoga but to various aspects of life as well. Your emphasis on focusing on the core aspects and avoiding unnecessary complexities has resonated deeply with me.
Once again, thank you, Shanthi, for the invaluable wisdom you imparted today. Your guidance has left a lasting impression on me, and I'm eager to further explore the depths of yoga with our connection as accountable partners. I believe that this approach will enrich my personal practice and the way I serve others even more.
I wish you all the best in increasing more authentic Yoga Teachers, who will impart the actual knowledge of Yoga Shastras. Your expertise and passion for yoga shine through, and I am confident that your programs will inspire and empower many individuals on their journey to true Yoga Mastery.
With deep gratitude & lots of Love
